Every year I choose a new bible to read thru the year. In 2007, I choose this one. What a refreshing experience I have, a few sentance from Max, OT + Psalm and Proverbs + NT, just the right mix. And the translation, New Century version is a version that easy to understand even English is my second language. If you find diffcult to keep up with your one year plan to read the bible once, this one worth the try.

When ordering this Bible I was looking for something that would give me encouragement and get me closer to my goal of reading the entire Bible--something I have yet to do in all the years of having accepted Christ as my Saviour and attending church. This Bible has truly filled the bill. Not only are there comforting and encouraging devotions from one of the best writers I have ever had the pleasure of reading but God's word is divided up into daily segments that can easily be read in the morning before rushing off to the rat race of life. I highly recommend this Bible to one and all.

I am using the book as my daily devotion this year. What I have read so far is very easy to understand. I like the translation used because it is written so beginning Bible students will not be confused.

Max Lucado is always wonderfully inspiring and brings out things in the bible in a way that I never really thought about before. He reinforces a point by the old testament first and then the new testament. I do wish the print were larger as it would be easier on the eyes.

This is max lucado at his best in devotional books or anything he does is awesome. This book is a must buy book so run & buy it you,ll be glad you did. I give it 8 stars over all.Robbie Bretzlaff.

This book is a must reads for everday of your life. It is almost impossible to have a guideline for everyday of your life, but this book helps to guide you to more structure and stability. It is a must if you want to have peace everyday. Great.

I have read most of Max Lucado's books and I visit his webpage ([...]) everyday. Mr. Lucado approaches the Daily Bible in the same manner in which he approaches all of his projects. He has an amazing ability to see a subject or a person like no one else does. He is considered to be "America's Preacher" for a good reason. His interpretations of the sixty-six books of the Bible lift you up. When he writes, you feel that you and he are sitting in a cozy living room with a roaring fire, listening to a great story teller. I have read this book twice. Mr. Lucado is my North Star as far as how I perceive God. Like the prophets of the Old Testament, you can almost hear God speaking directly to you through Max.

Very inspiring book. I enjoy reading it daily so I bought a copy for a gift.

I purchased this Bible a couple of months ago and I absolutely love it! From the dated entries to the mix of scriptures, this is an excellent devotional tool! I wish it came in KJV, as that is my favorite version of the Bible, but the NCV is very easy to read. For the first few days I used this Bible, I did a verse by verse comparison to the KJV and I can honestly say that I'm comfortable with this translation. Get this Bible! You won't be disappointed.
