God's Gift, February 2, 2010

The Soweto Gospel Choir is God's gift to all music lovers. They did not disappoint with this new release. Again, they were on point with their sound and moves. I had the privilege to attend their concert at the Annenberg Center for the performing Arts. The concert was sold out, and though it was a snowy day; there were very few empty seats. They are a blessed group of people. A gentleman asked a question in the elevator "did anyone get sleeping during the concert?" and a lady responded by saying "you would have had to take extra strength sleeping pills to have gotten sleepy".
They sing in such a large range of styles. One song might have you thinking the gathering for the underground railroad is about to take place; and the next song could be Opera. They can handle it all very well.
