A Touching Tale of Giving and Loss, December 12, 2000
This review is from: Gracias Tejon (Spanish Edition) (Hardcover)
If you enjoy children's literature, if you have a heart, and if you find it as difficult as I do to explain loss to children, then buy this book. It is amazingly sensistive in how it deals with death and how what we have given to others allows us to live on after we are gone. I get teary-eyed every time I read this. I teach 4th and 5th grade and I am in a counseling program. Counselors and teachers alike should all have this book in their libraries.

A must for all family's libraries!, November 26, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Gracias Tejon (Spanish Edition) (Hardcover)
A beautifully written story that deals elegantly with death. I read this to my students every year around the Day of the Dead as a way of remembering our loved ones that have passed on. The characters remember their deceased friend Badger as they share all that he taught them. It sets the example of remembering our friends and families with joy as we remember all that we have learned from them. In doing so, their memory lives on.
