This book is a wonderful story and is wonderfully written. Gracie is never defeated even against the greatest odds. She trusts God completely in her life and has dedicated her life to God's service. Peter and Gracie's wit, along with their compelling story makes this book a story that no one should miss. This book will make you grateful, it will make you laugh and it will make you cry. A great gift book for someone for Christmas.

This book is incredible and inspiring, AND its REAL !! Its not some sob story version or pepped up version of what really happened, its what REALLY happened.
They leave nothing out.

It made me laugh and it made me cry.

Gracie's story is a compelling example of grit and grace. She and Peter have bared there souls in this gut-wrenching tale of the car accident that nearly took Gracie's life--and the long journey of pain and healing that has shaped her life since 1983. While it is difficult to comprehend the daily pain Gracie lives with, it is beautiful to read how God has sustained her and her family in the midst of that pain. I especially liked hearing about the fellow-amputees that she has encouraged. Thank you, Gracie and Peter, for using your pain to comfort others.

Even though I have known Peter and Gracie, reading their story brought me to tears repeatedly, had me laughing aloud in the middle of the night as they share the humor that keeps them afloat, and at one point, I had to put the book down. Gracie & Peter's transparency and vulnerability, as they openly share their struggles, brought me to a point where I had to re-evaluate my walk, my faith. They don't hold back-- this is not a light read. But they also write with itegrity, no sordid details. This is a book about the victory of Jesus on the Cross-- and how He was on the cross for each of us. I recommend this to everyone...

Is there a God Who cares? Gracie (and Peter's) life-story says YES YES and YES again! Love this book! It is well written and real. It reads like a roller-coaster ride so you might want to buckle-up...it's a bumpy read!

"One thing I'm learning in this walk with Christ: it's not about our strengths, but rather when we offer our weaknesses in God's service; that's where the real triumphs occur." -- Gracie Rosenberger
