I órdered this. Thinking I needed the 395. I think the 395 has a slightly better motor and it looks like the pressure control on the 395 is electronic vs the manual twist on the 390. Head to head you won't be sorry you have the 390. I had some questions and checked it next to the 395. They are about the same the only difference was the external lressure control box with a metal switch and the 390 has a plastic one.

This beast painted a building retail location for us. Very pleased with it. Very happy to have the 390 for this price even vs the 395. I take these to third world counties. Failure is not an option where there no parts and no one that's knows anything about them. The 390 ran into a few things as most paint sprayers do and I was able to fix each problem with the manual and YouTube. Great machine. Very happy. Very very happy. Grab this if you want the 395 and can't figure out why the price is different. You will be glad you did.

Ps - this is a contractor level machine. Don't worry you are getting a magnum product or anything like that. It's awesome.

. I'm a cabinet/furniture maker. I bought a 390 when they first came out over 10 years ago. What a fantastic piece of equipment. I spray lacquer only and it never let's me down. I have gotten numerous compliments on my finished cabinets, tables, chairs, etc. I had the pump rebuilt one time 5 or 6 years ago and that was a painless process. I can't say enough good things about the 390. One word of caution. Never mix paint and lacquer in your pump. I tried it once and the only way I got the paint out was to rebuild the pump and replace the hose. Never again. If I have a paint project I rent an airless now. The 390 will lay down very fine finishes and produce professional results.
