Lighter version of a great product: win-win,

I love this Graco stroller for all the mommy-friendly features and the fact that this model is lighter than most. It folds a sits upright is a compact fashion when not in use.
UPDATE: 19 months later and this stroller is going strong and still looks great. No damage, brakes work, steering is still excellent. Most importantly, it has grown with our child from newborn to toddler and I didn't have to remove any bassinet attachments or buy new pieces to size it up (unlike those $1200 jobs!)

We got this stroller in 2004 when our daughter was born and it is still going strong 6 years later! It has a lot of miles on it as my wife used to do most of her shopping walking to the stores and malls within a couple miles of our home. The oversized basket is great for groceries, traveling, taking picnics to the park. And the stroller handles very well (love the never flat tires--wish I could say the same for the jogging strollers we have) and has been very comfortable for both our kids (in fact, we did, on numerous occasions, squeeze both our 4 year old and 18 month old into the stroller at the same time by reclining the seat all the way to make a large, flat surface for them to sit on.)

I'm very happy with my graco metrolite stroller purchase. The fabric is really nice, I love the large storage compartment underneath. Its great that the handle can be adjusted to meet your height needs.

My biggest issue here is, this is not lightweight at all. It's an okay stroller, but I never got over the disappointment at its enormous bulk.
PROS: -Adjustable handle makes it reachable to push for almost all heights, even tall people. (My 6'5" brother is fine with it) -Canopy is sufficient. -Reclines well for naps -5-point harness -Side access to basket (though blocked mostly by rods, so this is only kind of a pro) -Works with any Graco infant seat -2 cupholders for parent -Easy for me to close with one hand, but no one else can do it. Even my husband. CONS: -Enormous. Exactly the same size as any other conventional travel system you'll consider, though it is marketed as much lighter. It takes up my entire trunk and I can't fit anything else in there. -Tough to clean if your kid gets stuff stuck in the cracks. -Between parent cupholders, there's an empty space...why? I don't know, but every single person who has used strollers before tries to put something there and it drops through. Even nearly a year after having it, I still drop stuff because of the strange and not-intuitive design. -Basket ripped after 3rd use, and that's just trips to the mall. -Basket hard to access and doesn't fit my diaper bag, but can fit plenty of shopping bags or blankets...if you don't have to get to them again until you get to the car. -I'm the only one who can close it. No one else can figure it out. -The kid cupholder is not only shallow, it's rounded. There is not a cup in creation that will sit in it. It's totally useless. -It's really frustrating to get the tray up. I've tried to get my son in and out while he was sleeping and it's next to impossible because you have to lift him over the tray because you'll need a second person to either open it or hold the stroller steady (even with brakes on) to get it done. Definitely a two hand job. All in all, this is an okay stroller, but it is absolutely not worth the money I spent on it. I wished from the very first second I used it that I had a different stroller. We got it as a gift, and I still don't think it was worth a penny spent on it. We're switching to an actual lightweight stroller like the Zooper Twist or Inglesina.

... and this stroller was the way to go. Reasonable price, nice pattern (with other patterns available) and it works great. Fabulous to "drive". I had to use an umbrella stroller recently and realized how well I have it with this bigger option. I like that it has a basket under where the baby sits for storage. Lots of nice options with this stroller, folds up nice and relatively easy. Just be careful to make sure your wheels point the right way when folding down or you won't be able to lock it in it's fully folded form. Only minor drawback is the handle. I like that it has cushion to it and goes straight across, but you have to use some kind of mommy hook to attach your diaper bag to hang there. Not really a drawback I guess, just an observation.

Love the lightweight stroller! We have taken it to Disneyland 2 times and it is great for walking/jogging around the neighborhood. It is very easy to collapse and I love that it has a basket underneath as well as cup holders. It can also attach to an infant carrier which I think is a huge bonus!

Our little Jasper loves his stroller. Isn't it enough to rate it five stars? Not to mention its reasonable price.

My Grandson was four months old when I purchased his Graco MetroLite Stroller in the Rittenhouse design. I made my decision based on several features and the reviews on Amazon. Having used it for 8 months, I am very pleased with the performance of the MetroLite. The stroller is light enough for me to lift it into the tailbed of my truck with ease, light without a "cheap" feeling, sturdy and able to take the punishment of day-to-day city walking. I especially like that the canopy is large; offering adequate protection from sun and wind.
I have occasionally used a blanket to completely enclose the baby, and could easily observe him through the window in the canopy. The basket is spacious. I have had it packed! Large diaper bag, my purse, several shopping bags, and whatever else I could cram under there. My all-time record is 6 plastic grocery bags emptied into the basket- $65 bucks worth, which really is not much more than a milk, bread and egg run. Folding and unfolding is a breeze. I am challenged in that department, and this stroller has not let me down. I guess Joshua and I have logged quite a few happy walking miles with his stroller, and we both enjoy it. I do need to mention the convenient cup holder, the pattern is beautiful, and the reclining seat is very comfortable for him. He likes to ride with his feet on the dash, and kicked back.I often push it with one hand walking beside it! It is that easy to use. This stroller has also captured my Daughter's attention. She prefers it to her heavier Graco stroller. She also loves the Rittenhouse pattern and has just ordered it for the baby Girl she is expecting in June. I would purchase again and have happily recommended it to my friends. The only negative thing I can say, is again, regarding the basket: when the seat is reclined, it is hard to get at the diaper bag and such, but that is nothing compared to the value of this stroller~ thanks Graco and Amazon

My Baby loves this stroller. I was very upset with the graco metrolite stroller (Racer Model) i purchased from babies R us. It was horrible and baby was tooooo uncomfortable. he did nothing but cry on it. But someone suggested i try the rittenhouse model from graco and trust me it worked wonders. No more crying baby. I have a happy baby who loves strolls in his stroller.
