I spent months searching for a new glider/ottoman combo for our new baby, because I wanted a quality chair for less than $200. Found it!

I trusted other reviewers who said this chair was comfortable and was especially sold by its larger dimensions. It took very little time to assemble and matches our other espresso furniture from another company. I plan to nurse in this chair and, at a heavy 9 months pregnant and 5'4", find the arms to be the perfect width and height for it! I can also firmly plant both feet on the ground, which was important. The height of the back of the chair could be a little taller like other chairs, but it is definitely supportive enough in the lower back and high enough for me to rest my head and sleep if necessary. The gliding mechanism is just as they say, very long and smooth- there's no wiggle room in it!

I am so glad I didn't throw away an extra 3 or 4 hundred dollars on another chair! This one is perfect!

I think one will easily tell the difference between this glider and more expensive ones. It's clearly not as luxurious but one should realize that you get what you pay for.

There was a smell typical of new products so we aired this out for 1-2 weeks in a room with a fan and an open window.

If you don't want to spend more than $200 this is a pretty good glider to consider.

We're happy with it.

Update 10-14-2010: One thing I don't like about this glider is the exposed wood at the front of the arm rests. If a baby suddenly moves it head backward its head could hit the hard wood. I now put folded receiving blankets to cover up the wood.

We bought this for me to nurse the baby, and my husband has taken it over! It's easy to assemble - I put it together by myself while I was very pregnant. It shipped well and arrived without any dings. It's solid construction, and the finish is more durable than what we saw at the high end baby stores. We thought that for the price of the designer chairs we viewed, we could replace this one several times if it broke. But, it's really well made, quickly wipes clean, and glides well. I'm really happy with this purchase.

When I was pregnant, I didn't think I would need a glider. I thought they were insanely ugly and didn't want to have it cluttering up my baby's room. But then my son was born, and he just had to be constantly held and moved or else he would cry.

I was desperate to get a glider to make putting him to sleep easily. I found this one on Amazon, and the price was right. I was worried about the quality, as I had heard that the cheaper gliders we junk.

But this glider is anything but junk. We've had it for 6 months now, and it silently glides for hours every day, nursing and putting my son to sleep. It is comfortable for me despite being on the tall side (5'10"). The microsuede fabric has held up well, and doesn't show milk or spitup stains.

I love this chair!

soft.. and sweet.. and easy to put together... cheapest ottoman/glider set i found and works GREAT.. took my hubby less than 20 min to put together.. and now i have to fight him for it if i'm NOT nursing at the moment!
AND all the cushions come off for easy cleaning.. YEAH

We searched for a long time for a Glider, both on and off of amazon.com. We settled on this glider in part due to the reviews it received, the price for the glider, and the brand name.

Amazon was stellar as usual with the shipping and handling of the glider. Putting the glider together was a very simple affair. The instructions are clear, and it took me approximately 20 minutes from unboxing the glider to having it fully assembled.

It is a very comfortable glider, and the padding on the seat, backrest and arms rests are plush and soft. The gliding aspect of it is flawless, effortless to use, and works like a dream. The arm rests are a great height to rest your arms while holding a baby. The ottoman portion is good, albeit a little clunky to move around with a baby in your arms! The ottoman is not really needed all that much, probably only when you are in the glider for an extended period of time as the chair portion alone is plenty comfortable. I took one star off of the review because of this. Probably a little harsh, and would be better if i could have taken a half of a star away.

In conclusion, a great buy from amazon.com for the price, and brand name. It is a solid unit that does what it says.

My husband and I bought this glider before our first son was born. It was easy to assemble and was fairly comfortable for the price we paid. We enjoyed it for about a month until it started to squeak loudly when we rocked in it. We tried lubricating the moving mechanism, but the squeak stayed and eventually got worse. After about another month it started to have a clunky motion instead of a smooth glide, in addition to the squeaking. Needless to say, after two months of use it wasn't soothing at all. I tried to claim the warranty on the glider, but Graco said to claim it through La Jobi which makes the chair, and La Jobi said they never heard of the product. Thank goodness for Amazon's 365 day return on baby products! We sent it back (Amazon even paid the shipping!), and got our money back.

I bought this glider to use in my nursery for the enjoyment of night time rockings for my son who is now 6 months. I waited a while when researching and used an antique rocker prior to this purchase. I wish I would have had this when my son was a newborn and awoke durning the night. Now, he is too active to be rocking during the day. haha. I like the color and the fact that this matches my expensive ESPRESSO colored furniture (fits in nicely). On a flip side, the cushion is really uncomfortable. It is what it is though for this price. I am 130 lbs. 5'10 female and I think that my legs are way to long to use the ottoman which takes up so much needed space in my son's room. The gliding motion does not glide like the more expensive ones do but I figured that going into this purchase. It's like a car, you get what you pay for almost in a sense. Anyways, I do recommend this chair only if money is a HUGE concern or if you plan on this being your only child to use in one nursery. I plan on selling this when my son is a bit older on craigslist or to a friend and purchasing a new one when we have our next child down the road.

This is a great chair for the price. Great quality. I am 5 foot 9 and fit in it just fine. Very happy with my purchase!

I love this glider. It is super comfortable for me, and I like the pockets on the sides of the arm rests.
