If you are debating buying this like I was, here is a better idea of what you're getting:
I was looking for a booster for my 19 month old daughter, without a tray, so that she could sit at the big table with us. This was one of the few that doesn't come with a tray, and probably one of the cheapest, but still a good brand. We just got the pink one today and it's great, definately a good value for the money. The color is true to the picture. It's ready to use out of the box, minus minor setup/attachment to the chair. What the description doesn't tell you is that the bottom has four felt/rubber pads to protect your chair from scratching, which is a definate bonus. The straps are very easy to use, easily connected and adjustable, and the booster seat was super secure. The seat back (the colored part) can be adjusted to the appropriate distance for your growing toddler, and easily goes in and out for cleaning. From the picture i thought it was a type of foam, but it is all plastic. I would definitaly purchase this again, just what i was looking for at a great price.

This is an excellent purchase for anyone looking for a trayless, durable, sturdy, adjustable-back booster. The back of the seat with harness can be set back to approximately 7.5" from the front edge of the seat, and further again to approximately 9". The very back of the booster sits 12" back without the seat back/harness in use. This booster will not scratch your chairs as it has cushioned feet and attaches to your chair from both the back and bottom so it can be tightened well. It will give your toddler/pre-shooler an approximately 3" boost up to the table(something to keep in mind when factoring chair height to table height, leaving enough room for your child's legs in between). Last, all three straps can be thrown in the wash and the click-in seat back can be easily removed for cleaning. Plus, its quite affordable. Love it!
Update April 2011: We have been so satisfied with this booster that we purchased another for our second child, who is now 15 months old. Our first child is still using it quite comfortably at 3 years old. I love how much easier it is to clean than a high chair. I appreciate that the center crotch strap runs under the child and connects to the back of the seat so that there isn't a hole for food to fall into right between the childs thighs, which would be the case if the crotch strap came straight up from the seat bottom. Both of my children are average size and still have room to grow in these seats. Great purchase.

I bought this booster for my 4-year-old to keep her safely seated at our new pub-height dining table. She went from a First Years booster, which we liked, but scratched our previous dining chairs. The Graco Blossom booster is a nice seat. It is made of very durable, Rubbermaid-type plastic, and has rubber guards on the bottom to prevent scratching of furniture. This seat is BIG. It fit my 4-year-old well, with plenty of room. But, it is definitely not a seat I would travel with or take to a restaurant. The only think I didn't realize, but you can see from the picture, is that once you take the back out, there are no longer straps for the child. Also, the child sits on the crotch strap, which was kind of awkward for my daughter at first. Overall, I am pleased, but if you are wanting something more portable, with or without a tray, you might look at the Fisher-Price Healthy Care Booster Seat.

Excellent seat!!,

I was searching for a booster seat (or two) for my boy/girl twins that had low enough arm rests to fit under my dining room table, was a solid 1 piece design with no cracks to catch crumbs, and that looked comfy. This seat is fantastic!
I have one with a pink seat back, and one with the blue seat back. They fit securely on my chairs, and with the straps tightened you can't move the seat at all. The kids love them and at 18 months old can climb into them alone (I'm not thrilled about this, but this duo can climb onto the top bunk of my older kids bunkbed already so....). They are super easy to clean, just snap the back out, brush everything onto the floor, give it a quick wipe with a cloth, snap the back in and done! I of course sweep the floor but with twins, I have no choice to sweep after every meal. I can toss it in the tub and hose it down with the shower head occasionally too and it dries quickly. The rubber pads prevent the bottom from slipping or scratching on my chairs. I have 4 kids, and I've bought many booster seats, and this is by far my fav!!

Bought this for my 2 1/2 year old who wanted to sit at the big table. Our dining set was a little too high and we needed to boost the height, at first we used a poofy cushion but it was too slippery on the leather chairs! So did some research and found this cute little seat.
PRos: Has two slots to fit in a removable back rest for seat depth. Back rest can be removed completely when child gets bigger Two adjustable straps secure seat very firmly to chair (one for seat, and one for back of chair) Easily cleaned. Light weight. Cons: Feet on the bottom made impressions on leather chair, but was easily fixed by placing a towel or thick cloth under to prevent further indents.

This seat is one of two I was considering that has the 3-pt harness to keep my 2-1/2 year old in his seat. It was also the cheaper of the two. I LOVE this seat! The back comes off very easily for clean-up and for can be left off if you prefer. There are two slots you can choose from if you want to use the seat back and they're about 2 inches apart. I have it sitting on a towel (folded in half) on top of my fabric chair and it still secures VERY tightly, both around the back of the chair and under the seat. It has zero wiggle room, which is important. In fact, I can pick up the whole chair by just the booster, so as long as you have it tight there should be no way your child can wiggle it loose. Ditto the seatbelt. My son twists trying to get out but it ain't happening unless I get him out! Of course, that may change once he figures out how to open the seat belt. It has a button on the crotch strap that will release both side belts at the same time. Belts are made of that nylon/polyester material that most are. My son got some spaghetti sauce on his but as long as you clean it up right away and maybe hit it with some Tide to Go, most if not all will come out. But you'll have that problem with any straps made of this material. Interior seat width is 11-1/2 inches, seat back without removable insert is about 4-1/2 inches high, seatback with insert is about 8-1/2 inches high. Overall, fantastic seat!

Overall, I like this booster seat. We have counter-height table & chairs, and this sits securely on our tall chairs. It even allows us to push in our chair (with the booster seat attached) directly under our table, so sizing works great with our table. The booster's base is a bit oversized for our chairs, but only by 1/2 inch --we just tightened the booster's chair belts real tight & it works fine. The booster doesn't allow nor prompt my daughter to fall or tip over in our (tall) chair--this was a relief for me as I worried about how she might tip over in a tall chair.
The booster's 3point seatbelt is only usable if you use the booster's seat-back piece. I assume Graco thinks if your kid is big enough that you don't need to use the seat-back piece, your kiddo is probably too big to need a 3point seatbelt? Regardless, my now 2year old sits comfortably in her booster with the seat-back piece in place, and thus we can still fasten her within the 3point seatbelt. We ordered the tan colored booster, and its very neutral with our table & isn't an eyesore at all. Overall, I recommend this.

Very sturdy seat. I really liked the adjustable back feature. Very easy to clean. The only thing I wish it had was an adjustable height feature so my smaller 20 month old can sit up slightly higher. The seat is still functionable without but would have been a nice feature. With three older siblings, he thinks he is too big for his high chair. It is a great seat and will last until he no longer needs a booster seat.

i was shopping around for a booster seat that was compact, functional and securely tied to chair. we live in a small apt and to save on space, i needed a seat that when fastened, still allowed the chair to be pushed all the way in. i purchased the babysmart cooshee booster seat which is an unsecured seat, for my 4 yr old and this one that fastens to the chair for my 2 yr old. i'm perfectly happy with both purchases as it met all my needs and expectations.

this booster is exactly what i was looking for.
i wanted neutral colors [got the brown/tan]so that it blended into our kitchen and didn't stick out as a "kid" seat. we do not have a dining room or kitchen table, we only have the kitchen island to eat at. so, i needed a low profile seat that would fit on a tall "bar" chair and would still slide under the overhang. [don't freak, our seats are very wide bases no way a 2 year old could tip it even pushing with feet, and he only sits there when one of us is sitting right next to him. he's in his highchair all other times, just using the booster when he wants to sit near us.] for those of you looking for a booster that has a lower height on the sides, this is it. it comes up on the sides only about 5 3/4 inches. obviously the back is taller, but that won't be going under the table. i like the options for seating. we need the 3 point harness now, but eventually he'll be old enough to sit on his own. once you remove the back [brown section] the straps go with it. there aren't any crevices for food to get stuck. and the seat is made of plastic so it washes easily. the straps that secure it to the chair are very long. even with wide base seats, we still have plenty of slack left. our seats have cushions, and i found it was more secure to push on the booster while securing the bottom strap. kind of like a car seat, it goes into the cushion and is more stable. once attached this booster doesn't slide or move at all. highly recommend, you'll get years of use out of this. |
