Good Deal at First...,
This review is from: Graco DuoGlider LX Stroller in Fortune (Baby Product)
We bought this stroller when we were expecting our twins. (Based on input from another multiple mom who couldn't stop raving about it). We were happy with the stroller for the first several months. However, there were things about the stroller that DEFINITELY need to be improved:
1) The basket underneath started dragging on the ground after just a few uses (with light toys stored underneath). 2) The front wheels started getting caught in the basket when we would open the stroller...which is happening almost everytime we open it now. 3) The harnesses are SUCH a pain. They should have made them similar to the harness that they use for the car seats that accompany this stroller. 4) If you don't remove the front tray EVERY time before folding down the stroller, it gets scratched up easily. 5) As our children got older, the stroller became harder to maneuver. One of the reasons I wanted this stroller was that I was told how easy it was to turn with one hand. However, my children are only 18 & 21 lbs., and it's already difficult to turn the stroller. 6) The weight. It is definitely one of the heavier strollers. However, I've gotten used to that. 7) Only two seat adjustments on the back seat. All the way reclined, or all the way up. So, all in all, this was a good 'first' stroller for twins...but not something that we can use for much longer. It did maneuver well at first, but no longer.

We had a hard time finding a double stroller for our 2 year-old and newborn due to limited trunk space (Honda Civic). This stroller fits in easily without any disassembly and even leaves a little room for other things in the trunk. It was easy to put together and is surprisingly easy to open and close. Also, it handles very well for a tandem double stroller. My older son loved riding in the front seat and our Graco infant seat clipped in easily to the back; also, that seat fully reclines so it will also be a nice option for the baby when he's a little bigger. Both seats have nice canopies to keep out the sun and help with rain protection. One drawback is the main storage basket is not easily accessible when the back seat is fully reclined, but we are able to stash our diaper bag and a few other small items under the front seat with no problem. For the price, this is a great option!

After reading the reviews and comparing it with more expensive and sleek looking strollers and to its own Graco Quattro Duo stroller, I am SO glad I decided on this one! I already own the single Graco Quattro Duo stroller and loved it SO much, that I really wanted to stay w/Graco if I could.
At first, I was unsure if the frame looked as sturdy as the one I had because the back wheels aren't as large as my solo Quattro Deluxe. I really put my single stroller through everything, so I wanted to make sure it was built to speed. So, I called Graco's customer service and they explained all the measurements to me so that I could compare, and since wheeling it around town, everything seems alright. The reason I didn't purchase the more expensive double Graco Quattro Tour Duo was b/c I wasn't sure it was going to fit in the trunk of my Honda Civic '05, I didn't really like the tray attached, and the weight was slightly heavier. Like my single Graco stroller, I like this one because: 1)I have the snack/cup and full tray available, and a tray for my own goodies. 2)It is easy to steer and manuever ( I can hold my infant and still steer my 30 lb., 2 1/2 year old w/ONE hand! 3)There is roomy storage space underneath. 4)It folds up fairly easy. (sometimes I need to adjust the wheels or fold the front canopy forward. 5)Fits perfectly in the trunk of my '05 Honda Civic.(with a bit of room behind it to spare) 6)Easy enough to lift into my trunk on my own.(I'm petite and not a muscular woman by any means, but any double stroller isn't expected to be light enough) 7)Feels sturdy and secure enough to ride on the sidewalk to dirt pathways. But, there are a couple things I was disappointed about: 1)Maybe I don't have the movement down, but I always have trouble lifting /undoing my Snugride Infant seat from the rear seat tray area. And putting it IN the stroller can be a pain b/c you have to first make sure the seat is fully reclined, and then slide the carseat all the way to the back of the canopy, and then snap it in while your infant is in the seat. So, it's just a bit tricky, and taxing on your back. And once in place, you have to make sure the handle is at 45 degrees or else your front seated toddler is going to hit his head on the carseat handle. 2)The front seat for my 30lb., 34 1/2" tall, 2 1/2 year old toddler seems small and uncomfortable although he is not complaining about it. If he slouches on the seat, his bottom is already halfway off the seat. And the backrest is not tall enough to completely support his head. (it's about 2"short. My solo Graco's seat was tall enough to support his head and body.)And sometimes I have to prop his feet up on the footstand when he falls asleep. Overall, I do love this stroller, and it looks WAY more sportier and updated than in this picture on Amazon. The trim is this dotted, checkered looking pattern. So glad I didn't spend the extra $100 on the Quattro Tour Duo! MOney well spent on this one!

I bought this stroller for my soon to be born twins. After looking at a lot of strollers this was one of the few that both seats would lean back far enough to hold 2 newborns. Putting it together was a little bit of a pain but it wasn't that bad. After putting it together I tested it out to make sure it was able to turn easily and it was. My house is rather narrow and it was even able to make the sharp turns into my odd shaped hallway and into the back bedroom. Folded up it is still pretty big but after taking off the front seat hood we found that it fit in the trunk of our car pretty well and even left enough room for groceries. All and all this seems to be a pretty good product and seen no issues with using it once the twins are here.

I did a lot of research on double strollers before buying this one. I am happy with it and it is much better than the previous stroller I used. I was dissappointed when I realized that this stroller didn't have a cup holder/tray for each child like I thought I read that it did. It does have it for one child and for the adult but the other is just an "arm rest?" Anyway, trying to find an accessory tray to go with it is proving to be difficult. The other issue I have is with the front seat. It just doesn't look like it is very comfortable and may not be for long stroller trips. A lot of the double strollers I have seen have this issue. It also doesn't recline back very much, probably due to needing the leg space for the child in the back. I just don't know why they can't make the front seat as comfortable as the back...On a positive note, my children seem to be happy riding in it and it is much easier to push than my other (side by side) stroller. There looks to be adequate storage space in the basket and it is easy to open and fold up (also a problem I had with my previous stroller...what was I thinking??) The only reason I didn't give this stroller 5 stars is because of there being no 2nd cup holder/tray nor any Graco (or any other brand) accessories to remedy the issue.

I am a mom of twins, and had i known better i should have bought this stroller right from the beginning and not dealt with the dreadful double snap n go.
After a lot of research on tandem strollers this one was the lightest, has the best storage underneath, steers well, is compact for what it is, and has good shade canopies. I also love that i can snap my Graco carseats right in with ease and w/o an adapter. It folds easily and stands on end, so you dont have to bend to the ground to pick it up. I have just one negative comment which is the back seat is not as supportive and sturdy as the front one. But with a little work its easy to fix... I made a little slit in the seat fabric and slid a thin (not bendable) piece of wood in that spans the end of the seat (where your legs would bend). I also added some padding around this wood and stitched the slit back up. Works perfectly and now the back kid wont sit slouched and sliding. (A peek a boo window in the top of the back canopy would have been nice too). Overall, very happy with this purchase and you cant beat the price.

Great Stroller,
This review is from: Graco DuoGlider LX Stroller in Fortune (Baby Product)
I have a special needs 2 & 1/2 year old who needs to be in a stroller for longs walks or trips to the mall/store. I've also just had a baby. I needed a double stroller to take them both out and after research and price checks, I chose this one. There is plenty of room for my 2 & 1/2 year old in the front and the car seat by Graco fits into the back great. When the new baby is ready, there will be tons of room for him in the back too. It rides nicely and is easy to push and turn. Great product!

A good stroller, with some flaws.,

We purchased the duoglider two years ago for our twin boys. We have taken it everywhere, on car trips, on planes, to Disneyland, to the store, to parks, and more. It has been a pretty good stroller for us overall, but it is definitely starting to show signs of wear and tear.
Pros - will comfortably fit your babies/toddlers. No worries there. - Good sun shades - Fairly good storage (see cons) - Easily folded down and unfolded (with the touch of a button) - Accepts car seats - Holds up even with a lot of abuse - Basket can hold a ton of stuff. I've used it for quick grocery trips several times - Can be pushed with one hand, though it is getting harder as it gets older and my children get bigger - A smooth ride; can get over rough terrain fairly easily, without too much bumping Cons - Heavy - Big and cumbersome. I've run into things several times - Can be difficult to push with the car seats or with heavier children - Back seat needs two hands to lower it, which can be difficult with babies/toddlers in your arms - Back seat also only has two positions up or flat - Storage is difficult to get to when the back seat is fully down. There is a latch system to get to your stuff, but it requires stopping and bending down. Which isn't necessarily a ton of work, but when you are running around with two babies it can seem like it - Wheels are getting difficult to turn; probably need some WD-40 - The fabric on the shades faded a lot while it was in the back of our car for a while, which makes it look a little tacky - Can be difficult to turn (all double stroller are, it seems. Can someone fix that and make it affordable?) - Unless you are really careful when folding, the front tray will get scratched up - It is difficult to see the kids in their seats without actually coming around to the side. Overall, it is a good stroller and worth the money. It's fairly sturdy and will hold up, but not forever. I recommend it, but we also have a couple of umbrella strollers and are looking into something that would be better for travel.

This stroller is perfect I recently had a baby and have a 2 yr old so this stroller is perfect for the 2 of them. Its easy to push around and doesnt feel too much bigger then the travel system I used with my first child! It folds and opens pretty easily. The only thing I would say about this stroller is getting the carseat in and out of it is a little difficult but not impossible.

Overall I am quite happy with this stroller. It is light compared to other twin strollers I have owned and is easy to maneuver. It is easy to open but needs both hands to fold it. At first, I found it difficult to close it but with some practice (10-15 times), I was able to do it easily. It is a classic Graco sturdy product.
There are 2 reasons I did not give it 5 stars: 1. The bottom tray does not drop as shown in the pictures. 2. I would have liked this stroller to roll even when folded. It would make it easy to lug it for shorter distances (like at the airport or from car trunk to the curb etc.) where you don't want to go through the hassle of opening it and closing it for short distances. |
