Locked in tight!,
By
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Graco Ez Latch Anchorage System (Baby Product)
This latching belt secures both infant and booster seats tightly, when combined with the upper tether, the seats are locked in like a rock. Works great in my Volvo V70 and Audi A6. Both cars have seatbelts that attach to the seat on the side NOT at the back of the seat, so using only a seatbelt for child seats leaves them wiggly and loose at best. This latching strap is better than others because it has the red button disconnect mechanism well out away from the actual latching clip. That makes them very very easy to install and uninstall.Save time and keep your kids safe, buy two!

It's about time!,

I'm so glad they finally came out with this...I'm using this to attach my Graco infant carrier base to my 2001 Ford Escape. This is so much easier to use and big brother can't get the seat belt unfastened anymore. I had my car seat installed with this belt by car seat safety technicians and their response was summed up in these 3 words "It's about time!".

EASY and STRONG!!!,

I write this as I just finished installing two carseats in my van with the new EZ latch attachment. I have a 2001 Chrysler T&C, and it has been difficult (at best) to install carseats with the type of seatbelt that comes standard. The seatbelt wasn't secure enough on its own, even though the manual says that the "lock" on the seatbelt clip was enough to hold carseats. We have had to use a clip-- and I wouldn't consider that the safest option. We also had trouble with our 3 year old sneaking in and just undoing the seatbelt latch without our knowing. Now the locks are out of her reach and the seat is in so tight that is hardly moves at all! Our carseats are both Century Next Step DX's. They installed with ease. I would HIGHLY recommend this new attachment. It is very easy to use and works very well.

No problems installing in my 2002 MPV,
By A Customer
This review is from: Graco Ez Latch Anchorage System (Baby Product)
I bought two for my 2002 Mazda MPV. One is used to attach an infant seat (in conjunction with an over the seat anchor strap) and the other for a high back booster seat. Both seats are held very securely. The "trick" is to make sure the clip with the buckle is installed on the left side of the seat (or your right as you face the seat) with the top of the buckle facing out. Any other way does not allow you to easily tighten it. And, when tightening, put your knee in the chair, press down, left hand on the buckle and right hand pulling in the slack (sounds complicated - it's not!).With the straps, it is so much easier to remove the seats and it avoids messing with the shoulder/lap belts.

A Great Product,

I just bought this product yesterday and found the clips very easy to attach to the LATCH system in my car (SABB 93). I did how ever have trouble getting the strap pulled tight, so I brought it to the police car seat check and they were able to pull the strap tight enough. They were also able to show me how to pull the strap tight myself. Now I know my infants seat is safe and secure!

Safety Mom,

I just bought this for to use on our Century Next Step car seat. I was somewhat hesitant after reading some of the reviews but I have also been told that purchasing accessories from another manufacturer can lead to problems if the car seat or any of the equipment fails in an accident (voiding all warranties and liability). This was the only Graco/Century manufactured Lower Anchorage Belt System, so I decided I'd try it. After installing it once and finding it was twisted, I tried again and got it right. It works wonderful and is tighter than I've ever been able to get with just a seat belt. I am thrilled with the new system!

Had to return,
By A Customer

I think the LATCH system is great - when it works correctly. These straps were very difficult to get attached - the red release should make them easier to use, but I found they made it more difficult than a standard hook (like the Evenflo model). And the buckles would not lie flat - they were always twisted which made tightening very difficult. I wound up returning and getting a different brand. Maybe it was just our car and seat combo that made it hard, but I don't think so.

Save $$!,

I contacted GRACO directly via the internet and expressed my concern that ADDING this system to a carseat that was LATCH compatible didn't seem as safe as purchasing a carseat LATCH equipped. A customer service rep responded that either way meets the same safety standards. I ended up purchasing the SnugRide carseat in the Saratoga print that's LATCH compatible (isn't available LATCH equipped) and GRACO sent me the LATCH kit! What a deal!

Did NOT work in my car!,

I just had a baby July, so our infant seat did not come with latch, so when I saw this product I was thrilled. However my mood was greatly changed when I tried to use this product. I own new Sabb 93, 2001, and this product did not work in my car. The latch, latched onto my car wounderfully, but when it came to getting it tight enough to scure the base of the infant seat, it FAILED!!!! My base is more scure with the seat belt! I belive this product needs more work!

UNSAFE,

I tried using this product with 4 different seats. I have been trained to install seats and could not get the seat installed tight enough. The instructions say that the clips are to lie flat but it is impossible to do that when they are clipped in. The belt in that position does not pull tight enough. DO NOT USE IT! IT IS NOT SAFE! I ended up having to use my seatbelt even with my new car LATCH system. IT STINKS!
