The one that came with the humidifier lasted all winter last year.
L. Taras
I use filtered rainwater in the humidifier as my well water is very hard and in my opinion should not be used in any humidifier.
R. Taylor
Was the proper replacement filter for my humidifier, what more can I say except it is working well.

as others have pointed out, this filter is absolutely horrible. the hamilton beach (blue) filter lasted easily 4 months with proper care (i have been using this humidifier model for 10 years), and its structural integrity was not the reason i finally had to replace. the "new" graco filter starts falling apart big-time as soon as it first gets wet. do not buy. i notice that hamilton beach still sells the filter this "replaces," and am going to see if it is the original design. shame shame graco.

I cleaned the unit (Graco 4-gallon cool mist) every day and filled it with water run through a very good quality countertop filter. Even doing this, I went through two of these $11 filters per WEEK (TWENTY-FOUR TIMES as many filters as stated by the manufacturer!), and simply couldn't afford to spend nearly $90 a month (just in filters!) to run a humidifier. That is, putting it simply, absolutely insane. Design is faulty -- filtered water shouldn't trash a brand-new filter in less than four days. I don't know anyone who could afford $90 a month for humidifier filters.

The Graco Humidifier filters as advertised by the Buy-It-Now-Store indicated they were for the Graco 4 gallon Humidifier. The humidifier filters that I received were packaged as Hamilton Beach for a Hamilton Beach (HB) Humidifier. As I later learned, the picture that the Seller shows herein is even a picture of a Hamilton Beach Blue Filter which is supposed to be a higher grade filter than the "Standard" HB Filter and is a few cents more than the Graco Filter - but this it is not a Graco Filter. When I contacted the Seller for a Return Authorization, they responded with an authorization for the filters and a "NON-Pre-Paid" shipping label with the instructions that I had to pay the postage for the return. Since when do I have to pay postage for an error on their part?? After some back and forth correspondence, they agreed that they would reimburse me for the postage I would have to pay, but they would only refund me a $12.00 partial refund on my total purchase of $46.38. After a couple of hours searching around the internet, I learned that the 4 gallon Graco model humidifier that I have is no longer produced and it seems that Graco is also no longer producing the filters either. In addition, I did also find on the internet that the Graco filter and HB Filters are interchangeable in addition to another brand but I don't know if this Store even knows that. It would behoove the Seller to advertise the filters he is offering as an HB filter (not a Graco Filter) but also add a note citing that they are physically interchangeable with the Graco filters. Although, the HB filters appears to be of a lesser quality in construction and materials, for now I intend to keep the filters received and use them as I do not want to lose the $34.Read more ›

We've been very pleased with this humidifier, but find the replacement filters a little costly considering how often we replace them. It's worth it though for how happy we've been with the product.

Not sure what's going on with particular brand of replacement filter... I run my Graco Humidifier about 9hrs at a time - and the level of water consumed from the tank is not noticeable - I'm talking day 1 out of the box. With the other filters I have used (not the one I am reviewing), I would easily go through almost an entire tank. I won't be buying this brand again.

I buy these filters all the time. My son needs the humidifier, and we have had good success with it. The filters start to get expensive month to month, because their lifespan is short, and dragging that span any longer could become a health risk. With that said, I bought the product, and like it so I do need the filters. Someone should make a washable/reusable filter for this unit. Aside from that, Amazon should offer a quantity discount, that would help those who really need the filters on a regular basis, to lower some expenses. 3 out of 5 stars because they work. If they were $2-$3 a piece which is what they should be, they'd be a 5.

The outside of the filter shed off a little each day, until there was nothing left. I went to the trash to make sure it was really Graco brand. I am thinking maybe it was sitting in a warehouse for quite awhile. The one that came with the humidifier lasted all winter last year.

Bought 3 of these Gracco filters and they all performed poorly. They do not hold their form and fall apart. Do not Buy!
