It's so hard being a new parent, isn't it? How many hours have you already researched cribs? Losing sleep yet? Well, stop.
This is a great crib for around $150.00. I am an ICU RN, my husband is a safety engineer. We spent a LOT of time researching cribs. Please note most negative reviews for this product are for the drop side crib. That is not this crib. If you are looking for a safe, cheap baby crib, you have found it. That's why this crib is a baby bargins winner. What I care about is safety, safety, SAFETY! Who loses sleep over a knick in the wood? I could careless. I'm not rich; I need something that will last through 2 babies without breaking the bank. I've had this crib for 7 months and it still looks great. My husband assembled it with no problems. I purchased the Sealy Soybean Foam-Core Crib Mattress to go with it and it fits perfect (best mattress ever if you're struggling with that decision too BTW). I am very happy with this purchase for the price. I will use it for baby #2 as well. Save your money for their college and buy this crib.

Love this crib! Safe, easy to assemble and looks way more expensive than it is!!!! We bought it for $149 WITH a kolcraft mattress from wal mart.com! Only took us 45 min to assemble! The changing table is awesome too!!!!

Do yourself a favor and buy a comparable crib from a different company. Graco's name is on this product but LaJobi is who manufactures and deals with the product. They are in New Jersey but are a European based company. They have an F rating with the BBB. I bought this crib and it had missing hardware. I called LaJobi to request that the hardware be sent and they said their factory was shut down and it would take weeks to send the hardware. I told them I couldn't wait and they told me to buy another brand of crib.

That is EXACTLY what I plan on doing. I followed up with Graco because I do like their products. I told them I spoke to LaJobi and that they were not helpful. Graco told me sorry there is nothing they could do.

Taking this crib back, and I will not by any Graco products in the future.

We have 2 of these cribs- one espresso and one white. As cribs, these work well, mattresses fit well and they seem sturdy and well-made. The white one has yellow staining that we were unable to remove. As toddler beds, I wish rails were available. I can't believe there isn't more about this, but these do not convert easily into a headboard. The holes don't line up with the several full bed frames we've tried, and there are visible holes from where the screws were when it was in crib form. I know this isn't just me, we had 2 cribs that don't work and I know others that have the same crib and same problem. These really shouldn't be advertised as able to become full headboards.

Love this crib. I had spent months researching cribs. I wanted something reliable that will stand up but I couldn't see myself spending a ton of money on it. This crib arrived early, perfect condition and smelled fine. It took my husband and I about 30-45 minutes start to finish to put it together. It looks great in the nursery and I love the style. I am very happy with this purchase!

This crib was purchased as a gift for expectant parents. The packaging protected it well during shipping, which apparently turned violent. Assembly was simple, and the crib is remarkably sturdy when fully assembled. The crib is beautiful and of surprisingly high quality.

One caution: The owner's manual that ships with this crib indicates that it is not intended for newborns. This may be due to mattress dimensions (as others have mentioned) or perhaps the spacing of slats. With that having been said, a set of bumpers around the perimeter of the crib and it was ready to go. It would have been nice to know this prior to purchase.

In all, this is a beautiful, sturdy crib.

EDIT: My recommendation of adding bumpers was written before they were implicated in many SIDS deaths. I believe bumpers are considered a bad idea now.

I was all set to get an IKEA crib until the June 28th federal standards for cribs came out. IKEA voluntarily took all their cribs off the market to make sure they were compliant. So, I searched for an alternative that was cost effective but what I wanted. I received this crib as an early shower gift and decided to put it together in my living room since the nursery has a lot of stuff in it not put away yet. It took me about 1.5 hours by myself (7 months pregnant) with breaks and I was able to do it. However, when I got it down the hall it wouldn't fit through the door. So I took the back off. Still wouldn't go through by like .25 of an inch! So I took off one of the sides. That got the crib in the room and I reassembled the two sides. It doesn't look too worse for wear considering I had it on end on my tile floor in the hallway trying to make it fit through the door. It is very sturdy which I like, and at the highest setting I don't feel like I have to bend over really low to get the baby out. My shipping box had some bangs and scuffs though that probably transferred some scuffs to the crib pieces, but really, I'm not too worried about it. It looks great and I can't wait to finish it up with the mattress and crib bedding.
