Decent high chair,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Graco Meal Time Highchair, Clara (Baby Product)
I got this high chair about a month ago as a second highchair when my twins began eating solids. I already had the BabyTrend and was looking for a few key improvements that this chair provided. Overall, I've been pretty happy with it with a few disappointments. Considering the price, though, I can live with the shortfalls.
Pros: 1. Vinyl seat cover. The seat cover can be wiped down, yet does not feel plastic-y. This is a major improvement over the fabric cover on my old highchair which, though machine washable, is so difficult to remove and replace, it hardly gets washed. 2. Removable tray insert. This makes cleanup easy -- just stick in the dishwasher or rinse in the sink. 3. Smaller seat. This is a good thing for now, because my 9-month-old (and smallish) babies don't get swallowed up in the seat, like they do in my old chair. This may not be so great when they're older, though. 4. Easy-open straps. The straps can be opened with one click (one hand), which is useful when I'm holding one baby and trying to extricate the other. Again, though, this may not be so good when they figure out how to open it themselves... 5. When the tray is removed, there is a sort of mini-tray beneath it which is at the perfect height for a baby first learning to pick up Cheerios. This is really great when they're at the age when you're still mostly spoon-feeding, because you can take off the tray to reach them easily, yet there's still a little tray for them. 6. Seems well-padded and comfortable. Cons: 1. The tray insert comes off too easily. I could see a child popping it off and flinging it on the floor. Food included, natch. 2. The back wheels stick out way too far beyond the chair back. I feel like I'm always tripping over/banging into the thing. 3. The chair back, which has 3 recline positions, can be moved forwards too easily. Whenever somebody knocks into the back of the chair (see above), the back moves to a more upright position. Overall, I've been happy with the chair with the few gripes mentioned. I really love that mini tray, though!

Baby high chair,

The various height levels of this high chair are great..... but the front does not open up all the way. The tray comes off, but underneath the gray tray is a molded piece that does not open up. You must slide the baby in and out from the top. If your baby has chubby legs, it is difficult to get him in and out of this high chair.

Can't get much better...,
This review is from: Graco Mealtime Highchair Seth (Baby Product)
I just bought this highchair a couple of days ago for my 10 month old daughter, but in the Meridian print and I absolutely love it!! It was very easy to put together and she loves sitting in it, she tends to yell when we try to take her out! It adjusts to different heights great for in the dining room or the living room while you are sitting on the couch! The tray comes off and slips right into the bottom of the dishwasher so very easy to clean. I loved it because the seat is able to just be wiped off but isn't that nasty slippery rubbery kind of material which is all that I was finding before. I definately recommend this!!

Not good for a larger child,

We've been using this high chair for about 6 months. It's been great until now. The tray doesn't pull out far enough for a larger child. My daughter is 13 months and 24lbs. The tray is too tight on her belly. Also, the bar underneath the tray is not removable so her legs scrape against the sides when I'm trying to put her in or get her out. I rec'd this as a gift along with the pack and play, swing and travel system. When I initially registered I didn't realize this would be a problem. I was hoping to get years of use of it but I think I'm going to have to look into another highchair.

I wouldn't have purchased it, had I known.,

I purchased this highchair for my daughter in 2008. I bought the entire "clara" design collection. The high chair, although adorable, was more of a pain than a benefit.
Pros: The high chair reclines, which is wonderful when your baby falls asleep in it. Just recline it, grab a blanket and it's gone from snack time to nap time. The high chair is attractive and fairly easy to clean. It folds up for compact storage. (See Cons) Cons: The space that is meant for you to place your child's legs in, is very small. It does not open and so once your baby reaches around one years old getting them in and out of the high chair becomes a pain. I had to teach my daughter how to stand up in the high chair (NOT WHAT YOU REALLY WANT TO BE TEACHING A CHILD.) Just so that she could get her legs out of the holes without us having to struggle. Although the highchair does fold up, it does not stand up once folded. I found this to be more of a hassle than it was worth, because when we tried to lean it up against the wall it would usually just fall. Over all, had I known anything about high chairs or toddlers for that matter I would not have chosen this chair. Whatever high chair you decide to purchase I strongly recommend you check it out in person. Take the table off of it and make sure the area your child will be sitting in is a functionable space. I am pregnant with my second child and I am hoping to get a new high chair. I just don't want to have to fight with this one again.

Can't Complain...,
This review is from: Graco Meal Time Highchair, Clara (Baby Product)
We are very happy with this highchair, with only a few minor complaints.
I like the seat pad's pattern and fabric, plus it's easy to clean. The abilitiy to adjust the height of the seat is very nice (occasionally we'll eat dinner on the couch while watching a movie and it's nice to roll her over and lower her down to couch-level). The mini-tray is a unique feature, although not one that I've put to much use. The fabric is slightly absorbant on upper seat back (NOT the main part of the back, the green top portion), and messy fingers leave noticable residue that has to be scrubbed pretty well to get rid of. Also, I'm a little worried that as my daughter gets a little bigger (she's 10 mos and small), it will be tough to lift her out of the chair without scraping her legs on the non-removable mini-tray. It does have a pretty large "footprint" space-wise, so if you're considering this chair you'll want to be sure you have at least a three foot (front to back) space.

Bulky and not suitable up to 3 as advertised,
This review is from: Graco Meal Time Highchair (Baby Product)
I love our Meal Time high chair-- it came with toys to attach to the tray, nearly full recline, five point harness, an easily wipable seat cover, etc. It's pretty cute, and a very fair price, too! And it's very very sturdy; I never once worried about safety.
BUT I have to say that its footprint is farrr larger than the other Gracos on the market. (Contempo/Harmony) It was pretty ridiculous in my kitchen. But for some time, I felt this was a fair trade-off, considering that a larger base = safer product. This was until my child turned about 15 months old and nearly outgrew the thing-- the irony, right? It was because the little snack tray that rests underneath the actual removable dishwasher-safe tray is fixed, which means that now my son's legs catch on it every time I lift him in our out of the chair. There's no remedy for this, and despite my FOUR year old's ability to technically sit in the chair's roomy seat, neither of my children could possibly continue to use this after about 15 months. (And they are both small children!) So while this product is safe, sturdy and cute, it's not really practical. I hate to think what it would be like if my children were tall or husky! I definitely recommend getting the Contempo chair, as there is no fixed snack tray underneath the actual tray-- and besides, it's very slender!

I purchased this highchair for my 6 month old daughter. My wife and I really like the simplicity of the chair. The chair has many adjustments for the back and heigh. There is plenty of room for our 26lb daughter. I noticed some other high chairs have less room in the seat. The chair feels solid with steel legs. One thing I do not like is the wheels that come with the chair. You will not be able to keep the chair balanced when folding the chair. Luckly the wheel are easily able to be pulled off once put on. You will be pleasantly surprised how well the chair stands up once the wheels are remove and how little space it takes up. All around I am pleased with Graco brand of products and I feel that my daughter will have many years of enjoying the use of it.

All around great highchair,
This review is from: Graco Mealtime Highchair Seth (Baby Product)
I am a first time mom and bought this chair after searching for several weeks. It was easy and fast to put together, easy to use the reclining option and tray one handed, and easy to clean. My 5 month old is very comfortable in it and the reclining levels are great. The design is also nice and blends in to our kitchen, unlike some of the other chairs that I looked at with 'loud' designs and prints. VERY much worth every penny.

I have had this highchair for over 8 months now I would say. I love it. I would say my favorite part is the seat covers. It comes with two covers and they have the best fabric that is easy to wipe off and put in the washer. I washed them many many times and they still look like new. All highchairs should be this easy to clean!
