I've had this seat for about a year and a half now, but in a different color. I bought it for my oldest child, primarily because it has a smaller base than most of the other toddler/booster seats. This was very important to me because I have to fit 3 car seats in the back of my car and wider seats won't fit. I also love how easy the cover is to remove and clean and the straps are very easy to adjust with the push button. I've also found the seat as a whole to be rather durable. I have taken it as checked baggage on multiple overseas flights (I'm sure everyone knows how rough the airlines tend to treat checked bags) and no parts were ever broken. I have been very satisfied with this seat and plan on purchasing another for my second child soon.

I bought this as a second seat to keep in my husband's truck. We already had a Britax Marathon in my car. I figured this seat looked comfortable and had the added bonus of being both a 5pt harness or a booster. I wish now that I had just spent the extra money to get a better seat.
We've had it two 1/2 years now, the foam has broken on the side as described by the previous reviewer and the tightening buckle has come detached several times. And we've had constant problems with trying to tighten the straps. I would have replaced it sooner if it was our primary seat. Spend the few extra bucks and go for the Nautilus. I keep hearing great things about it!

I have had this car seat for three years now and have been quite impressed. It has been durable, easy to clean, and sturdy (unlike our secondary seat, a Costco, that my DS can tip over on corners if he throws his weight to the side!). The only reason I didn't give it a full five stars is because I've had similar problems as some of the other reviewers in that the corners of the foam broke off with just normal wear and tear, and the front adjustment clip plate seems glued in place when I'm trying to get the cover off to wash, but my four year old has been able to pull it off easily when bored. Unlike other reviewers, I've had no problem adjusting the harness straps for different bulkiness in clothing, and, when used as a booster, the seat belt straps across easily and in the correct place for my son's body.
I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good car seat at a good price. If I needed another one, I would definitely buy a Cargo again.

I have owned this seat for over 2 years. I can not say enough positive things about it. Good price, nice accessories, comfortable, easy to use. I am now looking at purchasing another one instead of a high back booster. When my youngest was ready for the convertible car seat, we transitioned our toddler into this seat to keep her in a harness and not have to by yet another car seat (booster) in a year. When my youngest was ready, we purchased the same seat for her, too. I love the fact that I can keep my children safe in a harness for so long without having to dip into their college funds! I'm looking forward to using these seats for many more years.

I don't have a lot to compare this seat against, but it seems to work pretty well. I've used this for about 3 months before reviewing.
Pros: Fairly easy to get in and out of the car. There is a cup holder too, which is nice. The seat is also very easy to adjust as your child grows. Works from children 20-100 lbs. so I won't have to buy another seat until we are ready to go to the booster. Cons: Seems like your child will have to get used to sleeping in it at first. My daughter couldn't figure out how to position her head when she slept. It took about two car trips for her to find a position she liked and now she sleeps comfortably in the seat all the time. I never had any of the issues that other reviewers had with the cover coming undone nor did I find the clip easy to un-clip. I very please with the car seat.

Disappointed,

We have this same seat with different fabric colors and have been using it for a year. It worked pretty well for use most of that time. Before my son turned 2, he could open the clip across his chest.
We also have a Britax Roundabout in our other car. The clip on the Britax seat is much better. It is easy for me to open but a 2 year old can't open it. We bought this seat because it seemed comfortable, could also be used as a booster seat and was cheaper than buying another Britax. It is also nearly impossible to tighten the harness straps on the Graco seat with a winter coat on. Britax does a better job with that too. I would not recommend this seat and would spend more money to get another Britax seat.

So far, so good,
This review is from: Graco Platinum Cargo Booster Car Seat, Powell (Baby Product)
We moved our youngest into our toddler's old car seat and moved our toddler into this one. He was extremely excited to be getting a new car seat and so far he has really liked it. I based my car seat choice on a number of factors. One being the toxicity of the item. This item was satisfactory and I wanted to stick to this brand since I have had good luck with it in the past. [...]
The push button to loosen the straps on this seat is better than the old "tether" version on our previous Graco car seat (it is just more comfortable, quicker, and less fumbling). The colors are cute too, if that matters. I love the fact that this is the last car seat we will ever have to buy for him, since it converts to a booster that will hold up to 100 pounds. My husband doesn't care for the reclining aspect, but our son finds it much more comfortable and he's the one who has to sit (and sometimes nap) in it. I would recommend it.

Be careful of the foam backing,

I am reviewing this car seat which I have owned for over a year. I checked the Graco website to make sure this is the equivalent to mine as my colors are slightly different, but it is and has the same basic functions (seat belt guides on side and gracopedic padding). My model is also a "Cargo", but as the seat cover is slightly different I will not comment on the aesthetics of the seat cover here. This is the 4th Graco car seat I have purchased between my 2 kids and it has the typical Graco buckle system. My complaint with this item is that the car seat cover clips were not tight enough on the side that it easily detached and, as a result, the foam underneath was exposed. I was putting my child in the seat and when my child's leg got caught on the cover, it pulled the cover and broke the foam underneath. As a result it is not deemed safe and the car seat foam must be replaced per Graco (at my expense). I think the car seat is similar to most other Graco products, but would caution potential buyers to be cognizant of the foam backing as it is fragile.
