4.0 out of 5 stars This is the greatest thing! So HAPPY I got it!
Can't say enough good things about the pack in play. Set up was easy, and for the first couple weeks I was on the couch (due to a c-section) so we just left it in the living room and would wheel it right next to me. But when I started sleeping in the bedroom at night, we would move it from one room to another. It was sooo easy to break it down and set it right back up...

When I first saw the added features of a bassinet and changing table, I thought that this pack n play was perfect. We kept this product in our family room when my daughter was a newborn. It made it much easier to be able to change her diaper and put her to sleep without having to walk to the other side of the house. But there was one problem. The changing table, though a great idea, did not work from the day we brought her home. When I placed her on the changing table, it would lean to the side and she would go rolling. She was by no means a heavy baby (7 lbs 2 oz), so this was not the issue. It was just bad design. The changing table is only attached to the pack n play on one side. After trying to make it work for about a week, we just detached the changing table and used the plastic cover on the pack n play surface to change her diaper. On the other hand, the bassinet was amazing. She slept very well in it and it had the added bonus of vibrating and having white noise that could play while she slept. Though I did not like that the white noise was on a timer and would turn off. Overall, I liked the convenience of being able to stay in our family room to do pretty much everything that she needed, but I think they need to refine their design a little.

This review is from: Graco Pack 'N Play Playard with Newborn Napper, Melbourne (Baby Product)
Can't say enough good things about the pack in play. Set up was easy, and for the first couple weeks I was on the couch (due to a c-section) so we just left it in the living room and would wheel it right next to me. But when I started sleeping in the bedroom at night, we would move it from one room to another. It was sooo easy to break it down and set it right back up. Only thing my husband would complain about is it was wider then our doorway to the bedroom, so if he didn't get it through just right, he'd knock it against the wall. Didn't have a problem though after he got the hang of it. It's so great to cause it's a lot easier to use as a bassinet, and not have to purchase one. Looking forward to getting lots of use out it! Very highly recommended!

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice Concept, Works Fine, Not Such a Value, June 19, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Like many others, we purchased this playard primarily because of 1) Newborn Napper 2)Cute Colors/Pattern & 3) Graco Reputation for being an industry leader.

In hindsight, I'd purchase another Graco playard, probably just the[...]version with a bassinet as recommended by Baby Bargains (8th Edition & previous)OR purchase the inexpensive version with napper available at Walmart. I think that inexpensive napper version is less gender neutral, more feminine though. I should have listened to Baby Bargains but, the concept of having a newborn napper option was too much to pass up.

Pros:

1) Newborn Napper, and bassinet for baby when he outgrows napper

2) Changing Station, sturdy enough

3) Great Color Pattern

Shortcomings:

1) Price, all the bells and whistles do not justify [...] for this playard. At this price, go for a Chicco for quality of materials & wheeled travel bag

2) Diaper Stacker is quite wimpy. The $190 version of this playard with a 'swept' frame & 'baby basics' organizer in lieu of stacker is much nicer.

3) Napper Canopy, I don't know why they even included this but, know that I'm paying for it as the Walmart version comes sans canopy

4) Lights, sounds, vibration features- not impressive. Again, Chicco playard bests Graco on this front

Overall

If you're in love with this pattern & have to have the napper, you won't be disappointed. Just know that there are seemingly better quality playards out there for the price. And if you think about it long and hard, remember that you're just pretty much buying this for the function of a playard with bassinet. You can save a lot of money with a less expensive Graco model.

5.0 out of 5 stars Glad I found this!, March 31, 2009
The "newborn napper" feature is what sold me. I was trying to decide between a pack n play and a bassinet, so when I saw that Graco had combined the two, I knew I found the right product. The "napper" is a great height for having the baby sleep alongside our bed. With practice, I'm able to reach my daughter in the middle of the night without even getting out of bed. The diaper stacker and wipes holder is just the right sized for a stack of diapers and a pack of wipes. I didn't put it together so I can't comment on the assembly. It has the two wheels, so I'm able to move it around pretty easily. Even if the napper feature is only used occasionally, I think this is a pretty useful product for the price. Keep in mind that although the weight limit for the napper isn't that low, its still a bassinet and baby will probably outgrow it quickly.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best on the market!, May 26, 2009
I am pregnant with my fourth child and have used a few different play yards from a couple of different manufacturers. I needed a new one for my upcoming arrival to keep downstairs in the living room. I was initially attracted to this particular pack 'n play because of the newborn napper. I am quite impressed! Putting the entire thing together was very easy and it took about 10 minutes from start to finish (I'm sure having previous experience with pack 'n plays helped- I only had to figure out how to assemble the changing station and newborn napper). The construction is sturdy and durable. I think the newborn napper is an excellent idea. It will cradle the baby perfectly and looks very comfortable! I'm expecting to get about 3 months use out of the napper, as it is truly meant for a newborn who is not yet able to roll over. The Broadstreet print is, in my opinion, gender neutral as it is an aqua color with brown and off white. Some may prefer it for boys, but I think the colors work well for a girl(so long as you're not looking for a "girly" style). I am very happy with this pack 'n play and I'm looking forward to using it. It is definitely the best pack 'n play for the money.

4.0 out of 5 stars good overall, May 1, 2009

I chose this particular Pack'n'Play because I liked the color, but at the time I also liked the idea of the newborn napper. I have never used the newborn napper as it seems safer to put my baby in the actual bassinet while he is sleeping. It is quite a hassle (for me anyway) to install and uninstall, so it went right into the closet and there it has stayed. The unit itself is nice though and my baby seems to like sleeping in it.

P.S. If you are looking for a sheet to put on the bassinet matress, the American Baby Company 100% Cotton Percale Porta-Crib Sheet fits it very well.

5.0 out of 5 stars live saver!, March 31, 2010
This pack n play has been a life saver for us. After an unexpected c section I was not able to go up and down stairs for a few weeks. Our master bedroom is on the main floor and baby's room on the second floor. Obviously this was not going to work. We put this pack n play in our bedroom and our little guy sleeps and is changed in it. My baby was 8lb 8oz and the changing table feature has never been a problem. He's never rolled to the center and the changing table has never sagged with is weight. He's very cozy in the napper and sleeps well at night. Plus the sounds and vibrations are great as well and can be use with or without the timer feature. The only downside to this pack n play is that the newborn napper is really tough to install and get out. So if you need to move the pack n play it's kind of a pain if you have the napper installed. The canopy that comes with it is useless but we really like the wipes and diaper holder. Overall I would totally buy this pack n play again and would recommend it to friends.

5.0 out of 5 stars Newborn napper great!!!, July 28, 2009
Both my husband and I loved this for our little baby girl. Granted, it was hard to put together, but once up, it was great. We had her sleep in the newborn napper in the room with us until she was 3 months old and she loved it. It created a nice, warm, snug and safe environment for her. We transitioned her to the flat sleeper and then to her crib at 3 months. We will use the pack and play for a travel bed and a safe place for her once she is more mobile. We were very happy with this and I liked it much better than the pack and plays with "bassinets".

5.0 out of 5 stars Best pack and play for your money!, November 28, 2008

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Pros: Great price for what you get. Grows with your child. Super soft newborn napper.

Con: Somewhat heavy. Takes longer than a "plain Jane" pack n' play to assemble and disassemble.

Wow! Way to go Graco! I'm always a little nervous buying items sight unseen, however I wasn't really finding what I wanted in stores. I came across this pack n' play while browsing through the tons of similiar items through amazon and it looked perfect. A super comfy place for baby to sleep, a "bassinet" for when the baby outgrows the newborn napper, and of course the changing table. I finally put the doubt aside and ordered it. Shipping was free and only took 3 days to get here.

At first glance it seemed intimidating to put together. However, it was quite easy and most can be done without the instructions. It took about 30-40 minutes to put together, but I can tell from here on out it will take less than 10 minuntes to put it all away. The vibration is strong enough, not terribly so, but compareable to most bouncy seats. The changing table seems secure for a newborn/small baby, but I think it may become an issue as the baby gets older/more mobile. It's a great size though. This model also come with a diaper stacker on the side that connects with button snaps, NOT velcro so it's much more secure and you shouldn't have problems with it falling off.

My baby isn't here yet, but I'm sure we'll only fall more in love with it as we begin to use it more!

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Gift ever!, August 4, 2011
We got this as a gift and it is wonderful! We live in a small apartment and are using only this as the crib/playpen/bassinet, everything! Yes the diaper changing station on it is a bit flimsy and my 10 1/2 lb baby slides a bit to the center...but it's really not that big of an issue to me--I love having everything in one area. My baby loves the vibration on the newborn napper portion and sleeps very well in it, but the other musical options aren't the best b/c it's very quiet--but I rather her not get used to using sounds to sleep (so far it's working well & she is self-soothing)...so it's fine with me. But for convenience--it's really the best and it's so portable and compact that I'm so happy with the purchase. I don't plan on purchasing a crib for my little one and so happy to have gotten this Pack n'Play. Many of my friends in NYC agree that you won't need a crib if you purchase this and then use quilted and padded sheets when the baby gets bigger.
