Great car seat, December 31, 2009
= Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Graco SnugRide Infant Car Seat - Zarafa (Baby Product)
I recieved this car seat today and am very pleased. Had a little bit of a problem with the canopy however. It comes with two sets of canopy attachment parts. They kinda sent me 3 correct attachment pieces and one wrong one but I was able to figure out a way to put them together anyway (and done in a safe manner). I was expecting it to be brown and a little bit of a pinker color. It's more like brown and a burnt orange color. Still very cute. The material is VERY breathable and durable. Looks like it's easy to clean as well. When you want to adjust the straps, you don't have to go through the back anymore like the car seat I bought by Graco in 2007. It's right on the seat itself below the buckle in the middle of the legs. I really like that part. Overall a great seat. Can't wait till my daughter is born in April 2010 so we can bring her home. Also bought the Zarafa double stroller. Hasn't arrived yet but very excited.

Sits too straight, uncomfortable, March 10, 2011
This review is from: Graco SnugRide Infant Car Seat - Zarafa (Baby Product)
I'll start with the positive. The fabric used is beautiful and Baby loves staring at the contrasting colors. It is also very light, but sturdy. While the "umbrella" can get in the way, it easily moves to accommodate an arm.
Now, for the negative. I drive an old Lincoln, and the rear seats are rather slanted. The base for this seat, even on the lowest setting, sat Baby up way too straight for a newborn. I would find her head and neck in an uncomfortable position after each and every ride. If your rear seat is a little more flat, I do not think that you would experience the same problem.
The seat is also very uncomfortable, and has no padding for Baby's bottom and back. Baby grew to hating car rides because she was so uncomfortable. I tried to combat this by adding my own padding, but that only seemed to worsen the head positioning problem.
This seat is now in my parents' car, whose seats are flatter. I may put this seat back in my car once Baby can better support herself, but I doubt it.

good carseat, August 21, 2010
= Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars = Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars = Educational:3.0 out of 5 stars

This is my second Graco carseat and it lives up to its predecessor and all the positive reviews. I really like the easily adjustable straps (metal button in the front to loosen, strap coming off the front to tighten) Less expensive seats do not have this function and while you can live without it this makes it so easy to accommodate different thickness clothing and more room to get a wiggly baby in and out.
Second good thing is new! The sunshade on the top is NOT attached to the seat other then at the pivot point so you can move it all the way forward to shade the baby. It feels a little less secure then my old one but the extra range is great.
I agonized over pattern looking for neutral yet fun and this one was the best, the orange is more a brown orange, not as pinky as the picture looks.
