2.0 out of 5 stars Not For The Sun!
Bought for twins to replace a double car seat frame stroller. For the price I was hoping for a little more of everything. It is HARD to open: it unlocks and opens from a folded position to 3/4 open easily, but then there is this LITTLE foot lever meant to "lock" the stroller open. My foot slips off every time, eventually I have to use my hands and some creativity to...

4.0 out of 5 stars 4.5 Stars for a Near Perfect Stroller,
This review is from: Graco Twin IPO Stroller, Platinum (Baby Product)With a seven year old and twin two year olds, I have spent a small forturne in strollers over the years. I have a BOB double stroller that is wonderful in every way but takes up 3/4 of the space in my mini-van. I thought I would see if there was an affordable umbrella stroller out there that would handle active twins. I took a gamble on this one folks and let me tell you, I am SO happy with it!! It is extremely easy to fold up and down and it takes up hardly any space. It will hold EACH child up until 50 pounds. The straps are made so that they easily come apart from the main buckle so no flalling arms get caught when taking out your children. The seats recline individually and there is adequate storage space underneath. It was simple enough for a busy mom of twins to put together (just snap on the wheels and go). The only flaws are that there are no cup holders and the awnings are not adjustable. I am tall (5'10) and I don't have to hunch over to push this and it glides and takes turns like a dream. I would be surprised if anyone would be disappointed with this one.

5.0 out of 5 stars perfect for us!,
This review is from: Graco Twin IPO Stroller, Platinum (Baby Product)I am so glad I purchased this stroller. I have a 3 and 5 year old that get tired when we do a lot of walking. They always fought over the single stroller and my husband got to pack the other kid. I finally found this and it's the answer to our problems!
Child weight: They are 42 and 44 lbs respectively and it's not any problem for me to push them in this stroller.
Child height: Their weight is not an issue, and their heights are not an issue. As far as some have said with the black thin fabric over the head and tall kids not fitting, I disagree. It flattens down a little and you could put a blanket behind their head to smooth it over if need be. Not a big deal by any means.
The hood: I really was expecting this to be a doozy by the way people were talking in reviews. I have to say I totally disagree. Please take into consideration that this is an umbrella stroller and is meant to fold up compact. I think the hoods are great. They don't have to be removed in order to fold up the stroller. That is a huge plus for me.
*It fits through even the skinniest doorways I have encountered.
*It is heavier, that is a bonus for me b/c when the kids walk, I don't want my big heavy diaper bag or shopping bags tipping it over backwards. And it's not too heavy that I can't pick it up. It's just right.
*Sturdy and strong for big kids.
*It turns and glides better than my peg perego single stroller. That thing pushes horrible so this is a nice breath of fresh air.
*Folds up compact like an umbrella stroller and takes up minimal space. I have a large vehicle but with 4 kids there isn't a lot of trunk space since we use all 3 rows of seating. This is perfect.
*Super easy to take down and stow away.
*Setting it up is easy, just push down on the kick lever firmly.
*Kids get to sit beside each other. Even though mine are 2 years apart they are like twins/best friends. It's fun for them.
*reasonable price point
I think that is about all. No cons for me yet. You can't wish for cup holders, trays, perfect hoods, etc in an umbrella stroller. You have to compare apples to apples! Highly recommend this stroller.

5.0 out of 5 stars Quite the back saver!,
This review is from: Graco Twin IPO Stroller, Platinum (Baby Product)The Twin IPO Stroller replaces our previous Graco Quattro Tour Duo Stroller and has well exceeded my requirements! When my grandbabies were little, having the "Winnebago" version to push around wasn't much of a problem but it was too large to fit into my trunk and so was mostly limited to walks around the neighborhood. But now that my kiddos are 3 years and almost 2 years old, I needed a stroller that could keep up with my high energy day! The Twin IPO Stroller is it! It is sturdy and offers the kids a comfortable ride. But the biggest pleaser is it's maneuverability! It starts, stops and swearves without any effort on my part! It opens and closes without any effort as well. It is a bit heavy to lift, but doable, and fits nicely in the trunk of my Audi A4. I miss having the snack and drink cups of the other stroller, but I have adapted a small backpack to carry the juice and snack containers in. All in all, its a very nice stroller at a great price!

This review is from: Graco Twin IPO Stroller, Platinum (Baby Product)Bought for twins to replace a double car seat frame stroller. For the price I was hoping for a little more of everything. It is HARD to open: it unlocks and opens from a folded position to 3/4 open easily, but then there is this LITTLE foot lever meant to "lock" the stroller open. My foot slips off every time, eventually I have to use my hands and some creativity to lock it open. As for the storage space; I had to change diaper bags to something very small and carry bottles in a differant bag, and there is no room for anyting else! Also, as seem to be the case with many "umbrella" strollers there is no cup holder for mom or dad. And, you can not use just one hand to push this along so you can't carry anything either. All of these are little things that add up to it being an okay stroller, maybe worth three stars.
The reason I gave it two stars is that the SUN SHADES ARE RIDICULOUS!! The design is faulty in that they aren't really attached, they just "snap" into place, but they give you the impression that you can pull them forward to adjust the direction of the shade (if you have a Graco car seat think about how you can direct that shade, you CAN'T do that with this stroller, but the design makes you think you can), but they fall off because in reality they have two positions, opened and closed. If this was the only problem it might be okay, but they provide NO SHADE for the boys, the tops of their heads, the sides of their faces, their necks are all exposed to the sun. My boys little hats are the only shade they get when riding in this stroller. We live in AZ and shade is important, even just walking from the car into a building. This also means if they fall asleep inside, the second you take them outside they are blasted with sunlight for an unpleasent wake-up. Or if I'm by myself, I have to load one boy into the stroller, and leave him exposed while I load in the other one. There may be places where this isn't is big deal but if you live anywhere with some sun and temperatures over 85* look for something better. I would never buy this stroller again.

4.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for Twins!,
This review is from: Graco Twin IPO Stroller, Platinum (Baby Product)We purchased this for our twins after they grew out of their carseats and we wanted something quick and easy.
This stroller has been fantastic! It folds up great, fits through single doorways and I love that the seats fold down individually for the dozer :)
This is an umbrella stroller, so the shades aren't meant to be a huge deal. We bought a Protect-a-Bub Classic Sunshade - Twin - Blackto help with that and also bought Munchkin Stroller Insulated Cup Holder, Blackfor our drinks. We attach these Booginhead SippiGrip Cup, Bottle and Toy Tether, Orange Grey Stripefor the kids drinks and we are all set!
This is a fantastic stroller!

4.0 out of 5 stars This is a great stroller!,
This review is from: Graco Twin IPO Stroller, Platinum (Baby Product)I have owned several different single passenger strollers over the last few years. I dreaded getting a two-kid stroller because the other strollers I bought left so much to be desired. They either had weight distribution problems so you couldn't go over curbs or bumps easily or they were cumbersome to retract for storage or expand for use.
At double the price of cheap strollers, but half the price of expensive strollers, this is a solid well-built mid-range double child umbrella double stroller with limited amenities.
I'm pleased to say I'm very happy with this purchase. You would think all double strollers would be hard to maneuver and just plain difficult, but I can tell you that other than being wide, this stroller can turn on a dime and the wheels are large enough that it handles urban terrain just great. I'm able to put fifty pounds of kids in it and go down curbs and over obstacles because the weight distribution is such that I can pop a wheely easily. It won't fit between a 30" wide interior door, but just barely. It will make it through 36" wide openings and on 36" wide sidewalks just fine. It's sturdy, smooth, and the collapse mechanize is designed nicely.
As other have pointed out the storage is minimal and it lacks cup holders. This stroller folds up relatively small, is not excessively heavy, and is great for on-the-go parents that don't want to take the big luggage. Sure it lacks a big tray, but that makes the storage and size more difficult and larger. I use a back pack for storage. I bought a jandd Aretz daypack and it is VERY nice with a very comfortable and adjustable strap system. If you buy a Jandd backpack it will be the last one you have to buy in this lifetime unless you are a hard core outdoor person. If you want a luxury seat with cup holders, get out the full size double stroller that takes a block to turn around!
I like the child harness design because the side belts have a clip that has to be inserted though the shoulder strap click before it goes into the 5-point clip. This is nice because it allows you to get them in and out with less straining, particularly if they have bulky closes on. Also the straps quickly get smoothed out and untwisted since they are not attached.
The only thing that irked me was changing the shoulder strap height. The shoulder strap has the typical buckle sewn at the end that keeps the strap from pulling through a slot in the back of the seat. The problem I ran into is there is a plastic support in between two pieces of fabric that the strap/buckle has to get though. I found that the fabric on the back side has the slots sewn so small that I could not get the buckle though. I used a knife to enlarge the slot in the back-side fabric a bit to allow me to get the buckle out and then insert at the next level up.... minor problem.
It has a rather small sun hood if that is a major concern.
The only slight usability issue I've experienced is the snaps that go around the handle tubes to keep the stroller in the folded position.... they are a little difficult to snap on and off. Little practice makes it manageable.
This is the best stroller I have bought considering price, quality, and thoughtfulness of the design.

4.0 out of 5 stars Awesome for the Price,
This review is from: Graco Twin IPO Stroller, Platinum (Baby Product)We have a Trend for Kids Double Stroller which we LOVE, but it is a monstrosity - you can barely get groceries in the car with it. We wanted a lightweight, small stroller that we could take through the airport and fit into a rental car. This was perfect. It's very sturdy - which was surprising. I have a 35lb 3 year old, and a 20 lb 7 month old, and they were both pretty comfortable in the stroller. The back is adjustable with a drawstring, which sounds funny, but it's actually pretty sturdy and allows for very slight as well as very big adjustments. I was able to fold it easily with one hand while holding the baby in the other, and it's even easier to unfold. It went through the x-ray machine at the airport, and is easy to carry around with one hand. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because of the canopies, which really are useless, and the fact that the lock broke on the return flight. I did try the McClaren twin stroller, and it was somewhat smoother, but at twice the price, it wasn't worth the extra cost for an airport stroller. However, if this is going to be your only stroller, it might be worth it to spend the extra money (not sure how well the graco would work out if I used it every day.)

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome stroller!,
This review is from: Graco Twin IPO Stroller, Platinum (Baby Product)I love this stroller! It is sturdy with lots of storage underneath. It turns beautifully. I love how easy pushing the stroller is, despite the weight difference between my 5 month old and 3 year old. I bought this without seeing it in person, but I was not disappointed. The only cons to this stroller are that it is quite heavy, and there is no parent cupholder. Even though it is heavy, it folds up nicely and is not bulky or awkward to carry. I had originally purchased the Baby Trend Sit and Stand Double, but that thing was awful to push, turn, and fold. My 3 year old can get out of this just as easily as the Sit and Stand, but he also has the option to recline and get comfy, too! This stroller is well made and comfortable, unlike most double strollers in a similar price range. I am really happy with my purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great stroller,
This review is from: Graco Twin IPO Stroller, Platinum (Baby Product)I read many, many reviews on double strollers before choosing the Graco Twin IPO.
I liked that it holds my 4 year old and 18 month old quite comfortably, even with heavy winter jackets. I do not use the visors, so I cannot comment on their effectivness. The two baskets below each seat are pretty roomy, the height of the handles make it pretty comfortable for dad to push, the stroller turns a lot smoother than my huge single seater travel system. It's a tad heavy, but hey, it's a double stroller. For the amount of time you actually spend "carrying it" (pulling in and out of trunk) it's a con that is easily forgivable. I think it folds up quite compactly-- if you can imagine two and a half of the $10 traditional umbrella strollers folded up side by side, that's approximately the size of the Graco Twin IPO.
I wouldn't use this stroller for a hike down a beaten path or through sand, but it is more than adequate for sidewalks, malls and airports. I'm VERY pleased with this purchase!

5.0 out of 5 stars Love it.,
This review is from: Graco Twin IPO Stroller, Platinum (Baby Product)This double umbrella stroller is exactly what I needed! I have and infant and a 3 yr old and had already gotten a double jogger because I'm an avid runner and like to be outside. Unfortunately, the jogger is pretty cumbersome when trying to actually go into buildings, stores, the house, etc, and it also takes us a lot of space in the back of my cross-over SUV. So I decided to get a double umbrella stroller for excursions into stores, malls, airport, etc. This stroller is PERFECT for that kind of usage. The only cons are that the sunshades are pretty useless and there is no cupholder/console--though you can buy after market cup holder bags that hang from the handles for these kinds of strollers. But again, I use this stroller for INDOOR usage for the most part, so the sunshades being so small and unmovable is not a big deal. For trips to the zoo, theme parks, picnics, etc. I use the jogger which has larger sunshades that you can move into several positions. Another great thing about this stroller is that it folds down really well and hardly takes up any space in the back of my automobile. I will say that just like any double stroller, it is pretty heavy, but there is no getting around that. I definitely recommend this stroller to any mom of 2.
