Taking it back,
This review is from: Graco Ultra Clear Vibe Monitor (Baby Product)
I have always been pleased with the quality of Graco products, and I cannot believe the poor quality of this monitor, especially considering you can get so much better for the same price. Our Sony monitor was excellent, until it needed repair. In the meantime, I chose this monitor because I wanted something with a vibration feature. I wear hearing aids and wanted something that would get my attention without me having to hear it. What a HUGE disappointment!
We set the unit up while getting baby ready for bed. There was no one in the room with the transmitter, but the parent unit would vibrate every few minutes. It picked up TV and radio signals and we could hear them despite turning the sound all the way down. Even when it was picking up the right signal, the sound quality was extremely poor, lots of static and crackling. Very cheap product for a not very cheap price! If it was a bargain basement price of $10, then I could understand, but for $40 I expected so much more. We couldn't even use it for a single night and it is going back right away.

Ultra clear? don't think so.,
This review is from: Graco Ultra Clear Vibe Monitor (Baby Product)
When we registered for baby stuff, we chose this one because of the Graco name and the features. It was a little higher priced, but we figured that meant it might be better than a cheaper one. WRONG. While it does pick up sounds very well, and the vibe feature is nice, the parent units when turned on emit a continuous buzzing that is extremely annoying. The buzz is there whether the unit is running on batteries or plugged in, and on channel a or b.
I work with an outdoor theater company and we use baby monitors so we can hear cues when backstage. For that purpose we didn't care about clarity and just bought cheap Fischer Price monitors. They were much clearer and didn't buzz. Don't buy this thing

Terrible quality, too much interference,

My husband purchased this within the first few days of our baby coming home. My son is now 18 months old and though we've used it for that long just fine. I find that the quality is not that great. It gets way too much interference and the static sound is ear piercing and has more then once actually woken the baby up from a nap. There were also times when it would make an extremely loud static sound a few times in the middle of the night. If it were $10 I could justify it, but for what my husband paid for it at babies r us for the retail price I'm sure.. It was a huge dissappontment. I am finally just going to garbage it and get another monitor that actually works!

I love this monitor. Lots of noise due to multiple wireless systems. I put the monitor where there was no wireless system interference. Works great. No extraneous noise. Nice little monitor am able to hear every movement and little sound. Doesn't require a charging base which I like because I just plug it in and know it is getting charged. Perfect.

I bought this as a replacement for a Fisher Price monitor that is no longer made. The previous monitor had the vibrate and lights features which is what I was looking for when I purchased this one. I use it to monitor my dogs when they sleeping on the other side of the house at night. The reception is clear and I can hear when they start moving about in the morning. With the vibrate feature, I would place the monitor under the pillow with the volume turned down. I was hoping that this one would work the same way. When the vibrate feature is turned on, even with the volume turned all the way down, there is still noise. It also picks up the slightest movement when the vibtate feature is on so it makes it difficult to sleep with it on. If I would have known that I would have just bought a regular monitor without that feature.
