5.0 out of 5 stars Does the job at a reasonable price!
Since I bought the Grado Signature HP-2 headphone in 1992, the only complaint I had was that the cord was not long enough. The same is true with today's Grado lineup and most competitors. I could not find a quality extension cable for under $100 and even then it degraded the sound.

But this $39 15 foot exention cord from Grado really does the job big time...

2.0 out of 5 stars Grado Headphone Extension Cable
I bought this cable after reading all the reviews I could find. I noticed that the vast majority of reviews were written by Grado headphone owners. Everybody felt there was no sound degradation. I had been using a homemade cable made from Belden 14 Gauge 3 conductor lamp cord. I also have a Radio Shack cable that was $7.99 15 years ago. Imagine my surprise when both...

But this $39 15 foot exention cord from Grado really does the job big time. I now also own a new pair of SR-60's and both headphones sound great. I can sit anywhere in my living room and enjoy the sound. Grado made a great product at an affordable and reasonable price.......but this describes all of Grado's products...doesn't it

I use one of these cables to listen to the TV when the family has gone to bed (a low fi application for my SR325's I know).

The cable really is very transparent sonically (I've tested it with higher quality sources too!)

Recommended.

The headphones are great too.

I use these with my RS-1. I'm a very picky listener. These do not change/degrade the sound whatsoever.

This is a great quality headphone extension cable that should last you years if not decades. While it's a bit pricey, it is very sturdy and does not degrade the sound quality at all. The only reason I'm not giving it a full 5 stars is because it's a bit pricey.

Excellent cable! Great length. No sound difference while in use with my Grado SR225's. It might cost a little more than some other cables but like all of Grado's products it is excellent!

This cable works fine. No degredation of sound. This is an expensive cable but the quality is good and matches the Grado ear phone.

It doesn't tangle, the connections are solid, and the music sounds the same with or without. I purchased this for my Sennheiser 595's, and it has worked great.

I was a little reluctant to buy this extension cable because I did not want to screw up the great sound I was getting from my RS2s. The problem was that I had to pull up a chair and sit right in front of the headphone amp. I was pleasantly surpised and relieved when I hooked it up. I could not hear any noticable deterioration in sound quality and I was free to roam about the living room. Now when I listen to music I can relax on the sofa which is across the room from the headphone amp. I would highly recommend this cable. It does it's job beautifully.

5.0 out of 5 stars Solves ALL headphone extension problems, October 3, 2007
This review is from: Grado Extension Cable 4.57m (15 ft) Headphone Extension Cable (Electronics)
Last year, after a friend insisted that I sell my 10 year old Grado SR-60 headphones, I reluctantly agreed, only after deciding to purchase the phenominal Grado SR 325i. After a side to side comparison, the upgrade was well worth it. I also bought the 15' extension, and mini adapter. A must have for those people who want to listen accross the room, and lose NO sound quality, and still not bother the neighbors.

I felt the price was rather expensive for "just" a cord but then it's really hard finding something of this length and quality so in that sense, it was worthwhile. I figure this cord is going to last pretty much forever so the cost per use or cost per year isn't that much.

The Grado headphones I purchased (325iS) for whatever reason have a cord that is just too darn short so I needed an extension cord. I read the good reviews and decided to purchase this, especially since with a cable this long I would never run short. It is high quality, flexible, sturdy and I can't detect any sonic difference between using this cable as an extension versus plugging the headphones directly into the jack of the headphone amp. I'm glad I purchased this.
