Simply draw characters on the screen with your finger
Do you find on-screen keyboards annoying and hard to use? Graffiti Pro for Android is an easy-to-learn, stroke-based handwriting recognition system that replaces the on-screen keyboard (also called an input method). Graffiti Pro for Android includes word suggestion, auto-capitalization at sentence start, word learning, and error correction. Graffiti supports Japanese and English input.
Keyboard Who?
If you've got clumsy thumbs and stumble around the keyboard, then you'll be glad to know that with Graffiti, there's no need to type--you simply draw characters on the screen with your finger or a compatible stylus. Graffiti characters are mostly single-stroke drawings that closely match the usual alphabet but are simplified to make entry faster and easier.
Just to Be Clear
The app offers text and numeric screen areas, improving the recognition of your input. Strokes drawn in the text area will only be interpreted as letters; strokes in the numeric area will be translated into numbers. If you've ever used a PalmOS-based PDA, this method will be very familiar to you.

No, this is not like Swype, but if you miss your Palm, it's your lucky day.

The short version is, if you don't know what a Palm Pilot is, you probably won't appreciate this very much (but alas, as with every other free app of the day, I expect to see the review page flooded with confused and superficial opinions before noon tomorrow). If, however, you once spent hours practicing your Graffiti, this will at least bring back fond memories. I still think training the user gives more accurate results than training the computer. I can definitely write faster with Graffiti than I can with an on-screen keyboard with a wonky (or no) auto-correct.

There is a decent learning curve. Once you get past that, but it's great! Accuracy is good and improves with use. It is as fast or faster than regular tap to type keyboards. Well worth $2.99!

If you used Graffiti before you will find this is a well done app. It may be easier to learn on this app than the Palm if you don't know the method. It's great to have choices and this gives you another one. PS stroke up and off the input area to see the input for each letter.

Couldn't get it to work on my phone
I could never quite get this to work correctly on my phone. While I am not sure if that was a problem with my device or not, I really don't use it.

polaroid intercepts long press, so cannot switch to graffiti.... waaaaaa :-(

Use it all the time & much faster than QWERTY keypad!
So much easier for me than QWERTY, especially on my Android Phone! Recommend to anyone willing to quickly learn the signals. (The help is very easy, too)

The app works very well. Occassionally, I would use voice commands to send a short email and it would be handy if it could also recognize inputs via voice.
