I purchased them for making templates for my paper projects (I draw on the plastic with permanent marker and cut out the shapes.)

The plastic is fully see-through and glossy. So, don't expect to be able to write on this one with a pencil as you can do with other similar products. These clear plastic sheets are about the thickness of cardstock, although they have a different feel because they are plastic. The plastic cuts easily with regular scissors and without difficulty with precision (small) scissors.

On a side note, once you open the shrink wrap, the sheets are simply stacked with cardboard on top and bottom and tissue paper between each sheet. You'll have to store them in something else, but the tissue paper effectively keeps the plastic for sticking.

I'm considering using it for making the windows of paper lanterns as well. The plastic is rigid enough to serve as windows if put into a frame. Although of course, don't apply flame or you'll melt the plastic.

Purchased this to make reusable stencils on my Silhouette Cameo. This type of plastic is pretty thick and strong. I wasn't sure if the machine was going to be able to handle it. I used the magnetic sheet setting which I believe is, blade: 3, speed: 1, thickness: 33 and double cut. It worked perfect. There is tissue between each plastic sheet which makes it easy to separate them from the other sheets. I'll definitely be purchasing more of these.

This sheeting cuts very well on the Silhouette Cameo and is the perfect weight for windows in boxes and bags, or making clear display type boxes. It is flawlessly clear and each piece is separated by tissue paper for protection. Pricing was very good for the quantity and quality. It shipped very quickly and I will certainly be ordering more.

I personally love this.. I bought these plastic sheets to make cookie stencils.. Mainly to airbrush the image onto the cookie. It cuts well on my Cricut Explore. I kind of wasted a few sheets trying to figure out which setting works best for it. I tried the stencil setting and it didn't really cut it all the way though.. I should of set it to double cut or something (I'm a Explore newbie so I'm still trying to learn). I used the heavy leather setting and it cut the image (and letters) perfectly. When removing from the mat.. most of it came out.. but may still need to use an x-acto knife to completely remove some parts that needed to be removed. Note if using the Explore I should suggest watching it cut from time to time.. Especially cutting something small or tiny. While it was cutting.. I saw that a tiny piece of plastic was dragging with the blade. It look like it was dragging for a while because some parts didn't really get cut :( The spider I made I did turned out perfect.. I would definitely buy more when I'm out.

UPDATE: APR. 01, 2015 - After so many trial and errors. I would use the purple mat so that the pieces of the plastic won't lift during cut. I don't know why I didn't do that in the first place haha.

I know it does not say in the description that it is used for the stencil "burners" but I would not recommend it for this. It melts back together and I still had to cut the letters loose with a exacto knife. It also leaves rough edges and little spider webs of plastic.
I ordered this along with a Wall Lenk Cutlass Stencil cutting kit which I first used on some Plaid brand blank stencil material. The Plaid plastic cut like a dream and the letters easily popped out after being cut. I then cut a stencil with the Grafix clear plastic and was very disappointed for the reasons I have already mentioned.
I then did a test cutting out one identical letter with each material. I use a sheet of glass for a cutting board. The Plaid plastic won hands down. The letters popped right out without a knife, no spider webs and much cleaner crisp edges. Also the Plaid plastic is frosted making it much easier to see.
These Grafix sheets are beautiful clear sheets packed with tissue like paper in between each sheet. I am sure they would work great for other applications, just not a heat cutting stencil.

Excellent product, just what I was looking for. I am using this in my Silhouette machine to make custom stencils. Photograph shown is actual wood sign made with custom stencil created with purchased Grafix Clear Plastic .007 Thickness.

Settings that seem to work best for me are as follows:

I purchased these not knowing what I was going to get. I had been looking for thin clear sheets to create foregrounds in a deep shadowbox. Plexiglas was an option, but it was too thick and far too expensive. And the only places that would sell it never had a guy available to cut the dang thing. So I searched on here for something that could solve my problem while staying in budget. Upon ordering, I had worried about the product having faulty cuts and having to correct them myself, but it was for nothing. These were cut perfectly to size. And even if it had been cut wrong, the plastic was easily thin enough to trim with scissors. The sheets were 100% clear and clean from scratches. My project came out wonderful and I still have a few sheets left over to use in the future. I'll definitelyorder these again should any project require it.

I'd highly recommend this for crafting and scrapbooking, Great quality, great price, great product.
