This film would be good for projects that do not have a lot of detail.

Too high and they shrink too fast, curling up and you don't have time to flatten them out.

I absolutely love this product. The fact that it comes in bulk packs just makes it that much better. You don't have to limit yourself to what you can draw on it or pay the ridiculous price of the "ink jet" sheets. Take this product to your local copy shop and you can have your photos and computer designs printed onto it, then cut and shrink as usual. Make sure when you prepare your digital file you set the opacity at about 40%. Since the shrink process magnifies the intensity of the color, you need to tone everything down to ensure that your finished product matches your original art. Also, a good trick for calculating original artwork size vs completed product size is to draw or print out a ruler on a piece of shrink film and then shrink it. Since every type of shrink fil shrinks a bit different, if you use the clear, frosted or color types keeping one of these "size keys" on hand for each type will save you a great deal of time and frustration.

First off, for the price, you can't beat this shrink film. I searched for other film, and most of them give you 6 sheets in a package.

I will admit that it takes some practice to get this film to shrink correctly. So I would suggest doing some test pieces, not the ones your kids make. The directions say use 350 degrees, but I have found that I prefer a little lower, 275-300. If the temp is too low, the shrinking goes too slowly and doesn't shrink evenly. Too high and they shrink too fast, curling up and you don't have time to flatten them out.

One thing to note, this film shrinks to an opaque white. Some film I've used in the past is a little clearer when it shrinks. Not a big deal, unless you prefer the clear.

Overall a good product. Would have given 5 stars if I didn't have to play around so much with the temp to get it right.

Much cheaper than the shrinky dink brand refills. A little more work having to sandpaper it to use colored pencils but excellent nonetheless.

The instructions say you have to use parchment to bake it on, but tinfoil works just as well!!

My daughter goes through this stuff like candy, so it was nice to find a large quantity for a great price. She is very pleased with the quality.

Just know that it's not "roughed" up at all on either side. I'm used to the shrink film that is clear so you can see through it, however when this is baked it is white.

I needed a lot of this for a project and it worked well. Good price for a large lot. The matte finish is perfect if you are doing anything with an open background.

I bought this for a school gift project. I only used one sheet as the finished product did not compare to the Shrinky Dinks sheets that I have always used in the past. This film would be good for projects that do not have a lot of detail.

I would have liked to have known ahead of time that I needed to sand EACH page! We just colored on the pages without sanding and it worked out fine. Probably would have had slightly better results if we'd actually sanded, though.
