I'm no expert on wallpaper, but I had no choice. The bathroom in my new apartment had awful baby blue tiling half way up the walls and every time I flipped the light, it felt like I had accidentally walked into the boys room--in third grade. Nothing like an Elizabethan wall scheme to fix that, I suppose.
To the point. The paper was pristine, luxe, and just enough to cover my small bathroom (remember, I only had half-walls to cover). If you can't afford half-wall baby blue tiling for your bathroom (that's a joke), you're going to need to spring for a second roll. The pattern is very unforgiving, so when you need a certain strip of that rosebud/leaf, there's no fudging it. Just get the second roll, oh, and wallpaper paste (not pre-pasted). When all was said and done, my new half-walls are beautiful. The pattern is classic without looking grandma, and there's a certain sheen to the background that reflects light really nicely. However, it's definitely not white, and "flocked" is up for interpretation. In my case, no big deal, but if you're really going for that stark black-and-white contrast, you might not be so satisfied. Albeit very light, the background is more silver in nature. And if you're thinking "flocked" automatically means velvet? No. This is a textured paper, with more of a space foam type feel..? Think paintable wallpaper. That's how the black part feels, just painted already. All in all, I am very pleased. And no, the steam from the shower hasn't ruined a thing.

Nothing can describe how shocked I was when I received this wallpaper. It is much better looking in person than the picture. First of all, it is not white like the picture shows, but more of a shiny cream. All of the black is thicker so when you run your hands over the paper, it feels like raised felt. I put it in my room and it looks gorgeous. Also, I had to purchase an additional roll weeks later, and it came from the same lot and block number which is very important.

This wallpaper is beautiful and definitely a statement, we did one wall in our little girls nursery for a statement wall. It is just that, and everyone loves it.
It is raised, so you feel the design which is cool. Shipment was fast and quality was great. I do have to say that it's hard to figure out how much you need, which one roll for us only covered half the wall, and we have a pretty standard bedroom. So we did end up ordering two, which i didn't anticipate, but other than that, great product. And it is definitely silver and not beige as we had read in another review....
