This is a sturdy product. It is a usefly product for the elderly. It is about $40 less through Amazon than through the medical catalogues. My main disappointment is that you cannot lower the table. There is a spring mechanism that does not allow the table to stay at the lowest level, which is perfect for an older person sitting in a chair. We needed to keep the moving pin in place in order to keep the table secure. Unfortunately, that is about three inches too high. This may be good for over a bed, but doesn't work as well for over a chair.

I bought this for myself in preparation for weeks of bed rest after surgery. It is quite sturdy for home use, was big enough to be useful for eating, holding books, water bottles, laptop, etc.

For the price, I can't complain one bit. I took off one star for assembly (but the assembler isn't too adept) and because it is difficult to adjust the height yourself while in bed. I never tilt it. It's always too full of stuff.

It has wheel locks, to keep it in place. Those work fine. So if your attendent puts them down, it is hard to push the thing away.

Now that I am out of bed, this little guy is making the rounds of the house. Get one for the family room- it is bigger and sturdier than a TV tray. It's great for doing crafts. The top has a little lip to keep anything from rolling off.

Right now it is in the office as a mobile desk return. It gives me more room with I need it to spread out.

I looked far and wide for a laptop desk I could use in bed. I read the other reviews regarding this product. I can say most are "spot on". 5 stars. Assembly was easy, 6 small bolts, and 2 large ones. Assembly time - 5 minutes with basic tools. Came well packed via UPS within 5 days. I think it is very well made considering the low cost and it is perfect for using any size laptop in bed. I concur that it won't lower enough to use in most chairs. It is height adjustable (Spring Assist), and as a friend asked me, it does tilt both ways. The color is a dark mahogany, Looks just like the picture. Strongly Recommend this item. A Great Value. Free Shipping.
