15" Medium - 15" x 11.5" x 4.25"; Weighs approx. ? 4.25" lbs. 17" Large - 17" x 12.5" x 4.25" Weighs approx ? 5 lbs. Rear compartment is 1.5" deep; Front compartment is 2.25" deep; One 6" x 6" interior pocket, expandable up to 2" deep and collapsible to make way for files and folders; High density Neoprene padding in rear compartment on back, bottom and both sides. Thick vertical leather seams to absorb the shock from an impact or a fall. Thick industrial marine grade Polyester thread; Hypoallergenic 4-5 oz. (2-2.2 mm thick) chrome tanned leather; Stout rivets at all stress points; Handle riveted to metal bar for stiff upper rigidity; Large solid pieces of leather (only three major seams); Shoulder strap is adjustable from 36" to 59"; Tough pigskin lining (suede upon request*). Pigskin is the second strongest hide in the world, second to kangaroo. *Suede lined bags are a special requests, so ask one of the gals in customer and they'll get you one.

First off, yes, it is expensive. That being said however, it is hard to describe the caliber of workmanship or overall character of this 15" medium `thin' briefcase by Saddleback Leather; it is by far the finest case I have ever owned in the last forty years.

It is heavy, sturdy, and indestructible as well as great looking.

And, I now know why Dave Munson (the owner of Saddleback Company) warrants this, and all his goods for that matter, for 100 years. When the case arrived within a few days of ordering I was just overwhelmed with the total craftsmanship of this piece. Frankly its quality, from tanning to stitching, is better than expected or expressed in the website. The only downside is, of course, now my wife wants a (satchel style) case for her own... :-)

After looking for the perfect bag I settled on this brand. The attention to detail and quality is something you just don't see these days. Strong and beautiful cuts of leather that gets better with age. I have been stopped by total strangers and been complemented on this bag. Yes, the bag is on the heavy side, but I wouldn't trade the quality or thick leather for a lighter bag.

Shipping is prompt and customer service is great. I have absolutely no complaints (and no buyers remorse!). This bag is worth every penny and I'd do it again and again. I'm already justifying why I need another Saddleback bag.
