Anyone else have extremely grainy picture and weird background lighting flickering? My set is not sharp looking at all. This is the second Seies 5 set I've gotten and i notice the packaging is slightly different. I wonder if they screwed with the picture quality too.

Are the images on the dvd backs fuzzier than before, too? I happened to get a set of this at the same time I had it checked out from the library, and the library discs have extremely bright and crisp pictures while the new set is fuzzy, kind of like a photocopy of a cheap newspaper image.

I just purchased this season and was very excited when it arrived. I opened up the package and i have to agree that the pictures on the disks are quite fuzzy and when I put the first DVD in and compared it to the previous seasons the picture quailty was poor. Is this a common problem with this season or random sets of season five? I want to know if I should return it and try again or just keep it and be dissapointed? I orginally watched Doctor Who on Netflix and I don't remember these issues.

Some of the issues being described -- fuzzy images on the discs, poor picture quality when played -- sound like what is seen with counterfeit sets. I was ripped off on eBay, so I've seen these fakes first-hand. Fortunately I got all my money back. Besides "fuzzy" images on the discs, and poor picture quality, another giveaway is misspellings on episode titles on the discs. The packaging resembles the real ones, but is slightly off.
