More About the Author

Mark Walker is the author of the popular Latin-based titles "Annus Horribilis" (2007), "Annus Mirabilis" (2009)and "Britannica Latina", all published by The History Press.

In Spring 2011 his English translation and edition of Geoffrey of Monmouth's "Life of Merlin" will be published by Amberley Publishing.

He has previously written Amida: A Novel (Pineapple Publications, 2004), an historical epic with strong fantasy elements based on a true story about the siege of a garrison town on the very edge of the Roman Empire.

Many years ago he was editor of the Gramophone Film Music and Musicals Good CD Guides. The highlight of his journalistic career was attending the music scoring sessions for The Phantom Menace, where he met and interviewed both George Lucas and John Williams!

The attached photo is me aged 17 (ahem ... quite a long time ago ...) when I had pretensions to be the next Chris Squire.
