This game's fun...but not sure if it's worth the full forty-dollars. Only saying that & giving it 4-stars due to no career mode. Visuals are excellent & controls are good. Also, as an added bonus, you can eventually transfer your saved car collection onto the ps3 version whenever it comes out (before aummer time since it's only been delayed 2-yrs now!!!

This is a very challenging game to master.
One of the best things about this game is that, if you don't have a chance to master it, you can drive a radically superior car to your competition. As much as this game rewards an expert player, it's totally accessible to a novice. It's not like the Gran Turismos of the PS2 and PS1 in that there really isn't this career mode. There's a schedule of dealers that you can buy from any given day. In some way, the organization makes this game easy to pick up and put down for short periods of time. You still get an in depth racing game. All kinds of options for a seemingly endless list of cars. Plenty of tracks, great music... it's a Gran Turismo game through and through. My one gripe is that I really enjoyed the older GTs, where you started with a very small amount of money, bought a used RX-7 or Prelude, and worked your way up the leagues to build an empire of cars and championships. That aspect seems to be long gone now. You can download a Ferrari and a Lambo for free from the Playstation Store... you don't really feel like you earned it. You can force yourself to play the old way, but it's just not the same if you didn't have to earn AAA cars. The game is still great, but it doesn't really force you to work your way up the food chain. If you have a PSP, this is a game you really ought to buy. So much attention to detail, it's a lot of fun, and it really shows off the power of the game system. Oh, the game is $20 now. Even if you buy it from the Playstation Store. $40 is not the going rate, though I think the game is worth that much easily.

I own this game for my PSP go. The graphics are excellent and the game play is really smooth. The only downside is the way that you get cars, each "day" (which is about two races), the dealerships change. Also, there is no defined career mode. These things do not at all effect the fun of the game. The graphics are excellent for the PSP, and the detail put into the cars and levels it great. The physics on this game are almost like real-life physics, and the cars drive almost identical to there real-life counterparts. Also, there are so many cars (almost 1000) to choose from, you can get anything from a Ferrari to a Honda Odyssey. This game is fun to play and is very realistic, but if you like "arcade" racers this might not be your game. This game shows off the graphics power of the PSP, and is a really fun game to play.
