I tried this book after the author was compared to William Gibson; That comparison had no basis in reality. Dantec goes on for 500+ pages to an amazingly predictable ending. perhaps I would've enjoyed it more if I was more knowlegeable about Catholic dogma, or if I was more fascinated by american rock and roll culture.

A vivid prose, a deep culture and a rarely seen density of imagination makes this epic novel a great speculative fiction book in the tradition of orwell, dick, burroughs and ballard. A mix of sergio leone, mad max and philip k dick.
