Joan Upton Hall and Stacey Hasbrook run a private consulting service for writers, providing workshops and speaking at conferences. Joan teaches writing technique classes, and Stacey has co-produced and conducted interviews for an Austin radio talk show.

This is a great, very well organized and researched book.The theaters described cover Texas and provide a guide to the culture and history of the State. The photos are majestic, with a haunting quality that makes me want to take my son on a cross-state trip to see the theaters and learn about his Texas heritage. I wish the book had more detail about the fascinating photos. Some are not dated.
