Grand Theft Auto 3 lets you explore the fully realized universe that is Liberty City and complete gangland missions. You can steal any car you see, from sports cars to taxis, or even boats. The game world has unpredictable weather, a variety of pedestrian types who act in unique ways, changing times of day and night, and a multitiered, fully corrupt police force. The revenge plot offers strong story elements balanced with the game's nonlinear freedom of movement.

I picked up a japenese version of this and it lived up to the fame and well beyond it. It is basic steal, kill, win, but sweetly and amazingly THE BEST DRIVING GAME ON THE GBA

If you read the last guys review he is wrong the game is not cancelled they just switched companies so destination software is not making it anymore the new company is Crawfish Original Interactive and the game is set to release March 3 2003.
Note: The game not be in 3d it will be the top view just like GTA 2 but the game will be good.

You should all realise this now Grand Theft Auto III For GameBoy Advance is not going to happen for THREE REASONS:
1)The GameBoy Advance has not got power for such memory or space I mean look at Driver 2 Advance its 3D but only has two cities out of five from The PSOne counterpart and both of them are only Quatres of those cities.
2)RockStar changed their minds to put it on PSP(PlayStation Portable)instead and renaming the game to GTA:Liberty City Stories where you play Toni Cipriani instead of that nameless/litterally dumb kid, and set three years back(1998)So You get something more different then GTAIII, which makes GTAIII for GBA totally obsolete.
3)They replaced GTAIII for a 2D game called Grand Theft Auto Advance
It would be a good idea but its failed and R*(RockStar) have abandoned this project so they can work on GTA:LCS for PSP because thats more powerfull console that uses 3D for 99% of their games.So everyone leave this rumor and failed game where it is and wait for GTA:LCS(if you have a PSP) where it is.
p.s.
If R* did succesfullymake this game and still made LCS that would be a show would`n it? LCS would win over III though.
