I picked up a japenese version of this and it lived up to the fame and well beyond it. It is basic steal, kill, win, but sweetly and amazingly THE BEST DRIVING GAME ON THE GBA

If you read the last guys review he is wrong the game is not cancelled they just switched companies so destination software is not making it anymore the new company is Crawfish Original Interactive and the game is set to release March 3 2003.
Note: The game not be in 3d it will be the top view just like GTA 2 but the game will be good.

You should all realise this now Grand Theft Auto III For GameBoy Advance is not going to happen for THREE REASONS:
1)The GameBoy Advance has not got power for such memory or space I mean look at Driver 2 Advance its 3D but only has two cities out of five from The PSOne counterpart and both of them are only Quatres of those cities.
2)RockStar changed their minds to put it on PSP(PlayStation Portable)instead and renaming the game to GTA:Liberty City Stories where you play Toni Cipriani instead of that nameless/litterally dumb kid, and set three years back(1998)So You get something more different then GTAIII, which makes GTAIII for GBA totally obsolete.
3)They replaced GTAIII for a 2D game called Grand Theft Auto Advance
It would be a good idea but its failed and R*(RockStar) have abandoned this project so they can work on GTA:LCS for PSP because thats more powerfull console that uses 3D for 99% of their games.So everyone leave this rumor and failed game where it is and wait for GTA:LCS(if you have a PSP) where it is.
p.s.
If R* did succesfullymake this game and still made LCS that would be a show would`n it? LCS would win over III though.

hardly any of these reviews are completely true. first of all, it's being published by destination software. rockstar could be developing it, but since the logo isn't on the cover and they don't have anything on their website about it, we can assume they just gave destination permission. second, no screenshots of any kind are out. there was someone who claimed to have bought it last year somehow, and proved it by posting a picture while they were trying to sell it for 60$ on half.com. many people say it will look like the origional two GTAs, but who knows? it could look like driver 2 advance. actually, GTA has a few more pedestrians and the ability to kill them all with a massive weapons selection, so a graphics enhancement as well as d2 advance probably isn't an option. third, it is most likely going to appear on gba. it's been on nintendo.com's, as well as gameboy.com's game list since the end of summer, 2002. its release date has been pushed back about half a year so far, but the new march release date has stayed for quite a while. don't say it'll be good, and don't say it'll be bad, unless you somehow got to play it. don't say people are cheap because they want it on gba rather than ps2 or pc. I'd like to play it in the car or in a waiting room. you can't drag a 3,000$ compaq in there. besides, telling people they're dumb because they don't want to spend 200$, let alone 1,000$ is just ignorant. don't say it's been cancelled, because if it has, they wouldn't still have a release date out right now. and for crying out loud, stop being so incredibly rude to the other reviewers on this page. that's one reason why some people hate americans. didn't your parents teach you how to treat people? it's the most rediculous thing I've ever seen, and that's pretty bad coming from a morbid 16-year-old like me. there has been absolutely no information released to any type of media other than when it's going to be in stores and that it will be. there's so much fact and fiction in these reviews, and it's hardly possible to correctly predict right now, so do yourself a favor and remember- those with patience will be rewarded greatfully.

I think you're all nuts. It does'nt matter if the game
comes out or not so stop complaning about it.

[name] you do know what your talking about. People you need to listen to this, don't go braggin on how good this game is because you don't know!!!!! If you know what it looks like then show us some screenshots of it. And NO IT HASN'T BEEN CANCLED!!! You should NEVER EVER believe what IGN says because they lie a lot! If you have proof that it has been then show me what the DEVELOPER OF THE GAME told you! Don't believe what a news article or whatever told you that the game was canceled unless it was an official article from Nintendo or the game developer!!!

So far, anybody praising the graphics or saying how good the gameplay is, is just basing it on their own speculation and opinion. There are no known screenshots or videos of this game in action so far.

But you can rest assured that this game will be good, its being made by the same people who made Grand Theft Auto 1, 2, and 3 for the Playstation. This one for the GBA will look more like GT2, but will be much more improved and will include things that Grand Theft Auto 3 on the PS2 has. You can also rest assured that the graphics WILL look good, the Gameboy Advance has amazing grpahics the developers can tap into...

A total disater compared to its PC and PS2 counterparts. The graphics barely allow good gameplay and blips and beeps are not my choice of music. As i said, If you wanna play a really legendary great game like Grand Theft Auto 3 then get a PS2 or PC!

THIS GAME IS MASSIVE! ONE OF THE BEST, I THINK ITS JUST AS GOOD AS GTAIII. IT HAS 3D GRAPHICS GREAT GAMEPLAY, AND ITS PORTABLE! I KNOW I'VE THOUGHT ABOUT TAKEING GTAIII OUT ON LONG TRIPS OR JUST TO THE MARKET. I KNOW THIS GAME WILL KEEP YOU PLAYING FOR HOURS! OHH AND SOME OF THE FLAWS IN GTAIII ARE GOING TO BE FIXED AL MOST LIKE VICE CITY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think Grand Theft Auto 3 is going to be great! Because I've played it on the PS2.
