5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, eclectic mix of music from an inimitable voice.
Neville transcends genres in this eclectic mix of country (George Jones's "The Grand Tour"), pop ("I Owe You One," "Betcha By Golly Wow"), soul "Ain't No Way"), Dylan ("Don't Fall Apart on ME Tonight") and anthemic ballads ("Song of Bernadette"). It is on the latter, a haunting duet with Linda Ronstadt, that...

O.K. it's alright to call me finicky when it comes to music, because I am. So my first thoughts upon hearing the first two songs on this CD were the dreaded over-produced feeling that I first experienced. Thankfully things started to go uphill from the third song onward, giving Aaron, and us the chance to hear the splendid range, and tone of his wonderful voice. From...

5.0 out of 5 stars Duet Heaven, October 23, 1999

I defy you to find a more beautiful duet than Aaron & Linda's Song Of Bernadette, this hauntingly beautiful ballad has been around for quite a while now, but it is only through these magnificent vocalists that it has become a musical masterpiece. I think it's about time a compilation CD of their duets was made available.

This is a surprise for an ex-con. Aaron has all the marks of a bad boy (including the one on his forehead) but when he opens his mouth, a heavenly sound comes out. "Don't Take Away My Heaven" is easily the best song on the album. It is truly heartwarming to hear a former criminal croon out the song-prayer of "The Lord's Prayer". "The Bells" is very pretty, and so is "I Owe You One", and "My Brother, My Brother". Classic Aaron. Bottom Line: INSPIRING, UPLIFTING, BEAUTIFUL.

O.K. it's alright to call me finicky when it comes to music, because I am. So my first thoughts upon hearing the first two songs on this CD were the dreaded over-produced feeling that I first experienced. Thankfully things started to go uphill from the third song onward, giving Aaron, and us the chance to hear the splendid range, and tone of his wonderful voice. From Soul, Zydeco, Jazz, Golden Oldies, and a spine chilling duet with Linda Ronstadt this CD rocks. I think his rendition of the beautiful song; "These Foolish Things" is the best I've ever heard. So turn down the lights, and let the music carry you away...

Aaron Neville has been recording since the mid 1960's,as a single and as a group with his brothers. [The Neville Brothers]I am a big fan of his music and with his god given voice Arron can sing any kind of
music, jazz, rock, soul, blues, pop, country, gospel, rap, hip hop,Christmas music, reggae and anything else I've left out. This Album is my all time favorite,it has just about every kind of music that I mentioned on it.I just wish I could sing like that.My Wife and I think he's the best.If you like GOOD music, get this Album
