A photographic celebration of passenger and freight trains,
By Midwest Book Review (Oregon, WI USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Rio Grande Through the Rockies (Golden Years of Railroading) (Paperback)
Rio Grande Through The Rockies by railroading enthusiast Mike Danneman is a superbly presented black-and-white photographic celebration of passenger and freight trains of the Rio Grande. Over 100 stunning images selected from the David P. Morgan Memorial Library of the Kalmbach Publishing Company bring these great trains and scenic landscapes to life. Brief captions enhance the captivating pictures. Also very highly recommended for railroad buffs is a companion title in this outstanding "Classic Trains: The Golden Years of Railroading" series from Kalmbach: The Pennsylvania Railroad: Under Wire by William D. Middleton.
