Columbian superstar salseros The Latin Brothers have been playing decades for international audiences, taking their tropical interpretations worldwide. For salseros everywhere such songs as "Las calenales son como las flores" "Buscandote", 'Dale al bombo" and more recently the classic "Sobre las olas" and "Fuma el barco" are easily recognized aand welcomed whenever they perform. This CD offers the uninitiated listener the opportunity to hear one of the best group of salseros under the direction of the multi talented Mario Rincon. Mostly salsa, there are a few guajiros and son caribenos included here that just make this CD even better. Actually I wish there more of them as I have some of the groups individual CD's where they play more Guajiros. "El Carretero is an outstanding track that just sizzles."Buscandote" does so likewise with its story of a search for a lost lover. If you know what latin soul is, this is it personified, the kind of stuff that gets your head bobing and if you're so inclined your feet moving. The use of violin, trumpets, flutes and percussion fits beautifully with the fine vocals. The lead vocals are shared by various members of the group, depending on the time period but always sung con mucho sabor. The harmonies are a perfect modern tribal chant. This is a good package of the Latin Brothers salsa. These are very tasty numbers that are old school but as contemporary as anything that is currently popular in salsa circles. Recommended for salseros old and young alike.

ONE OF THE BEST SALSA CDS IN YEARS!! I WOULD RECOMEND THIS CD TO ANYONE WHO LOVES SALSA... BEST TRACKS PROBABLY "PEGASSO", "SOBRE LAS OLAS", "LAS CALAVERAS". TRULLY A GREAT CD!!
