Grandma, Please Don't ... By Dani Bull
Illustrated colorful children's book about a little girl who has a grandmother that lives nearby and she visits often. She'd rather do other things but grandmother makes her try thing by doing something different to them and then she likes them: Brussels sprouts.
She'd rather get a book than socks, so grandmother gets both. She helps at the grandmother's house also and a new baby brother is born that she asks her to help her hold because she doesn't want to drop him. She knows her grandmother loves her. When they have to
move because her dad gets a new job she is still able to call her and talk and they both miss one another.
Her grandmother makes everything alright.

This book was wonderful. It was so cute, but also a little sad. I loved the flow of the book and following "boog" on her many adventures with her grandma. I can't wait for it to come out in print so I can share it with my girls better. The illustrations are very cute and I think they will really enjoy them. They just had a grandma move away and are still struggling with it. I think this book will really help them.

This is a story about a child and her wonderful, loving, supportive grandmother. You can see how close a grandparent and grandchild can be. The end is sad because of a move but they both make the best of this difficult time. A very loving story.

What a little gem this is! It's a tender little love story to share with a child and, as an added bonus, it's a great primer for learning how to be a grandmother.
The motif used to tell the story - Grandma please don't- is clever, consistent, and well-developed. The illustrations are a good match for the down home realism of the content. The segments are short enough that, perhaps in a print edition, the artwork could appear on the same page as the words.
It reminded me of The Canada Geese Quilt (a must-have Grandma Book), made modern.
I, too, would buy this book if it were in print.
