4.0 out of 5 stars Grandma book great keepsake
My granddaughter bought me the book for Christmas 2 years ago, and it took a lot of memory work, research into family history, and asking my own mother to get the answers to the dozens of questions it asked.
When it was finished, though, it was, indeed, a real keepsake journal, and I gave the completed book back to my granddaughter for Christmas this year. In fact,...

1.0 out of 5 stars Grandma, Do you remember when?
I will try to complete some of this for my grandchildren and great grandchildren, but I certainly do wish I had this when my mother was living. Nicely illustrated.

4.0 out of 5 stars Grandma book great keepsake, January 19, 2007
This review is from: Grandma, Do You Remember When?: Sharing a Lifetime of Loving Memories--A Keepsake Journal (Hardcover)
In fact, I ordered 2 more books for my two other granddaughters.
It was a lot of writing, some of the questions were redundant, and some questions didn't leave enough space for an adequate answer. Otherwise, it was great.

5.0 out of 5 stars Priceless to pass down now that my mother has passed away, October 27, 2009

My mother, Eileen, passed away last week. I had bought this book for her about 3 years ago and totally forgotten about it. Then, when going through her stuff a few days ago, I found it! She did not get to do the whole thing, but did do more than half. The stories, info. and messages in this book to me are now priceless and so meaningful for me to pass down to my daughters. I highly reccommend this book for grandparents to read or for grandparents who may not be around in the near future as something to pass on. It is great for my daughters and even better for me to read my mom's own words about her life.

I think that this is a wonderful book that our second generation will always be able to look back to remember what life use to be. I appreciate the way the author installs Christainity in the book to help our grandchildren see the importance of Christ in their life.

I have told all of my friends about this book. I am presenting the book to their parents on my grand daughters first birthday in a few weeks.

I loved working on the book and feeling as if I had written the book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Memory Book for Grandma..., December 11, 2010

I absolutely LOVE this book. You would expect to pay much more for a book w// such amazing quality. The illustrations are beautiful w// deep, rich, earthy colors... the questions in the book are well thought out. I ordered this for my Grandma for my kids to give to her for Christmas, and I was so impressed with it that I ordered two more books for my mother and mother in law. I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone that is looking for a great gift, or who just want to capture Grandma's 'story' for generations to come.

5.0 out of 5 stars My grandmother, January 7, 2009
I filled this book out with my dear grandmother at her kitchen table in her home. She told me of all the memories of her life. She has now passed, but I used this book when I did the eulogy at her funeral. Many people wanted to know where I got the book so that they could keep a written account of relatives close to them. I highly recommend this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sweet, but be careful if your parents aren't still married!, December 7, 2011

I got this book for my step-mom to match the one for my dad. Upon opening the book, there is a poem in the front that assumes "Grandma" is your natural mom. It even mentions grandma having kids of her own. My step-mom wasn't able to have kids. Thank goodness I saw the poem before I gave her this book! I'd have been horrified to hurt her feelings! I ended up giving her the one I bought for my mom, which was more generic, so it worked out. That being said, the book is adorable and I am glad I bought it! My mom will love it! I just wanted to warn anyone in my similar situation.

The perfect gift for the Grandma!! It asks all sorts of questions that the Grandparent will enjoy writing about as well as the grandchild enjoy reading in a few years. The book itself is of very good quality. It is hardback and the pages have a very 'slick' finish. I would highly recommend it!

This is a beautiful book. I had planned to give it to my mother when I found out I was pregnant, but my mother passed away first. This is a beautiful way to share your mother with your child. I often buy it for first time grandmothers to fill out and present to their new grandchild.

I saw this in Door County at a book store and they were out of stock. Checked Amazon and not only were they in stock, but the price was 1/3rd less. It's a beautifully illustrated book with many areas to enter written memories. I highly recommend it to any woman who wants to share her thoughts and experiences with her grandchildren.
