Best Quilt Block Book
This is a great quilt block book. If I am looking for some inspiration, I use it as a reference book. It has full sized patterns and suggestions for each block and has the best variety of quilt block patterns I have in one place. It's great for both quilting by hand or machine.

WARNING! there's a world of difference between the 2002 and 2006 editions...and not for the better
I'd seen the 2002 edition, and incorrectly assumed that the only difference between it and the 2006 version was the cover. Unfortunately, they're almost completely different. Most disappointing was the lack of photographs of completed quilts; those are only in the 2002 edition. Also, some of the patterns in the 2002 edition, my whole reason for buying the...

I'd seen the 2002 edition, and incorrectly assumed that the only difference between it and the 2006 version was the cover. Unfortunately, they're almost completely different.
Most disappointing was the lack of photographs of completed quilts; those are only in the 2002 edition. Also, some of the patterns in the 2002 edition, my whole reason for buying the book, are not even in the newer book. While both books do a good job of showing a wide variety of patterns, there are far too many appliques in each to suit me. |
