Book Description

4 and upK and up
As Molly and her grandmother prepare latkes, her grandmother explains the custom of eating latkes and recalls the dramatic story of the tyranny of Antiochus, the faith of Mattathias, the bravery of the Maccabees, and the miracle of the oil. “Touched with watercolor, Chwast’s woodcuts, with their thick, broken lines, reinforce the down-to-earth feeling of the narrative and add richness to a tale of loving generational and religious connection.”-Booklist

This review is from: Grandma's Latkes (Paperback)
This book is great for early childhood classrooms. It tells about another culture of the world. It is for Christmas and you can make latkes in your classroom as well. What a great way to learn about other cultures and the food that they eat. The price was right and the delivery was prompt. Thanks Amazon.
