About the Author

Janet Lanese is a perfect example of a grandmother of the nineties.  She combines multiple careers as a real estate broker, a writer for her community newspaper, a co-hostess for a local television program, and a contributing editor for over thirty parenting and religious magazines.  Janet Lanese lives in Castro Valley, California, and, even with her busy schedule, she finds time to enjoy her three grandchildren.

This is a must for everyone, it touched me so deeply, and sure opened a lot of doors and memories that we forgoten. It is such a wonderful gift for a new grandmother, an expectant mother, or a young child. We need more books like this, maybe even one for grandfathers, brothers, sisters, aunts and uncles to name a few. Thank you for such an wonderful book.

My first grandchild was born on 12/22/99, I got this book at Christmas. It really describes what is the tremendous joy of being a grandma. I read it every few weeks and some of the stories or antedotes take on new meaning as she grows. This is and will continue to be one of my most treasured books and I have hundreds!

Simple good reading, this book took my grandmother down memory lane. She keeps it on her coffee table for everyone to admire.
