I bought this as a gift for a friend of mine who rides a Harley... he is well into his 50's and has grandchildren. so for Christmas i thought this might be a good gift for him so that he can read it to his newest grandchild. he loved it and everyone in his family loved it. it is his grandsons favorite book and want a bike of his own one day. I read it before I gave it to him and think that it is beautifully and brilliantly written... definitely a good buy for a Harley guy with kids.

Why Grandpa Rides a Harley My husband rides a Harley Davidson Ulta Classic, and I ride a Harley Davidson Fat Boy--so it is no surprise that we love this book! We bought this book for our grandson when he was 2. He is 4, and it remains one of his favorites. He pretends the grandfather in the book is his grandfather when I read it to him. His favorite page is the one with the grandmother riding her own motorcycle. That is my favorite part, too! I tell him about the times we have ridden together to the places in the book. There are some other children's motorcycle books that our grandkids love, but this is one of our favorites because our motorcycles are Harley Davidsons. Any little boy would enjoy this book, but it is especially fun for families with Harley riders!

This is a very cool book. I bought it for my father for his birthday from my 7 month old twins. I put their footprints in it and he loved it! It's a very cute story and so true for grandpa's who own a Harley!

This was a fun and interesting story we shared with our grandchildren. Particular focus on a new age lifestyle seemingly seen through the eyes of children who are of the same age range as our grandchildren. We believe their curiosity and understanding of Pop and Grandma's love of motorcycling is portrayed wonderfully in this book.

Forget fishing, playing ball, or even taking a bicycle ride; Grandpa is obsessed with his Harley Davidson---not just any motorcycle, but a HD---and shares his obsession with his grandson when the family comes to visit. In response to his grandson's questioning, Grandpa shares his thoughts about the allure of the open road and life in general. The artwork is outstanding, and Grandpa's philosophy is stated simply enough so that even a child would understand, and possibly an adult as well. It pretty much sums up the "old men on motorcycles" phenomenon that one can easily observe along any highway on a warm afternoon. It's a delightful book, really, the perfect gift for the "old guy" HD motorcycle enthusiast in your life!
Though the author disavows any connection to the motorcycle giant, this book is little more than a thinley-veiled advertisement for Harley Davidson (Yes, it's for sale at your local Harley dealer, of course.).
