I buy my peanut (and almond) butter freshly "churned" at a natural food store and sometimes it separates and sometimes it dries out and I have to add peanut oil to it. This gadget makes the mixing chore a breeze and the lid fits perfectly on a standard small canning jar. Plus, there's something charming about the process of mixing your own peanut butter! I give it two thumbs up.

By the way, the company sells several different sizes and types to fit different size jars. The listing here wasn't very detailed, so you might want to check the manufacturer's website at witmerproducts.com to make sure you get the size you need.

If you use Smuckers, Laura Scudder, or Adams peanut butter, this is gonna make you so happy! No more arduous stirring of settled PB. Just lubricate the stirring rod with some of the peanut oil in the jar (very important step) put the special lid on your PB jar, insert the pre-lubed stirring rod and crank. VERY easy.

I love this PB mixer, but there are other sizes available from the manufacturer, Witmer Products. It would be nice if amazon sold these models too.

I love it. The peanut butter comes out creamy & you don't have that hard powdery texture at the bottom. Two enthusiastic thumbs up.

This peanut butter mixer is so easy and eliminates the oil running down the jar when using other methods. Cleans up fast and takes up little space in a drawer.

Our daughter gave us one last year. It is wonderful to be able to easily stir our organic nut butters. I'm ordering a second one for our beach condo, so we won't have to remember to take it back and forth when we move from one to the other. We can't live without it, now that we have experienced the easy way.

Yes, this is what I need for churning the organic peanut butter. Works like a charm. Before I had this product, I had to heat up the bottle, use all kinds of kitchen utensils to do the job. Now, even by 10 year old can do it. A real winner.

Over the years I have purchased many kitchen gadgets. I had never heard about this one until I read about it in Cooks Illustrated. It has exceeded my expectations. Mixing natural peanut butter is no longer a chore. This is a very simple gadget designed to work efficiently with almost nothing to clean up. The only tricky part is getting the right size to match your jars. If you get natural butters in different size jars, you may want to order more than one size. Fortunately, they are very affordable. I love mine so much, I even got one for my daughter. This gadget has earned its keep!

This is a great device. I saw it on Dr. Oz's show. I of course have a wide mouth jar of natural peanut butter. It works well anyway. Can't wait until I purchase a regular size jar!!

Saw this advertised in the food section of the San Francisco Chronicle, so I bought it. Have used it only once, and it seemed to work pretty good.
