This book is REALLY about the former Lindsey's Grocery Store, which has been there almost FOREVER, or so it seems! I am in my late 60's and it was well established when I was a kid! Generations have trusted this small (by our current standards) local store, and I loved visiting Dick Lindsey when I was little - he was always so nice to all the kids! And their sandwiches were beyond reproach! It's still there, but I haven't seen the store, under new management, in 20 years. For those who want to see a REAL historical store, go there - it's at 7th and Station Avenues in Haddon Heights, New Jersey.
