Great way to reinforce area and perimeter!,

This is a cute story! It shows how children really think - cutting the top off and moving it to the bottom, and such. This is a great book for teachers to use when beginning to talk about area and perimeter. Using literature to introduce a math concept is a wonderful way to help reduce math anxiety!

Grandpa lies in bed all winter, with a cat and a mouse running around, and his feet sticking out of the quilt? It smacks of poor health care in a tenament. I thought this was completely gross.
