Very sturdy. Made of steel with a strong, durable clip that doesn't budge while clipped to the table -- or even while the gooseneck lamp is moved into various positions.

I really couldn't be more pleased with a product, particularly as the price was so low.

When I moved into this apartment, I was told that tenants are not allowed to put a lot of holes in the walls, so I was unable to put a light above my kitchen sink that required screws or nails. This lamp is a perfect solution, because I have it clipped to the cupboard next to the sink, and it lights the area beautifully. The brushed silver and the design of the lamp are attractive and unobtrusive. I was initially apprehensive about the lamp loosening or even falling down, but it's been up for a year now, and is still secure.

Good product for the money. Able to bend light in all directions without difficulty. My mom needed a light for when her closet was opened, and this works great. By clipping it on the headboard, she can face it toward the closet as needed.

Clipped these to the headboards in the two spare bedrooms for reading lights. Exactly what I needed and I wasn't sure if they would be as nowhere in the item description does it say the neck is flexible. But it bends every which way and is a very sturdy item. The nice plastic pad on the strong clip will not mar the headboard. Perfect and the reasonable price makes it even more so.

I bought two, for my sons bunk beds. It is sturdy, attractive, uses normal light bulbs, and inexpensive!

Beware we have Cargo bunk beds which have a 2 inch thick headboard, and the clip wouldn't go that far. Luckily I was able to find different places to clip them, and the gooseneck came in handy b/c of the strange angle that ensued.

Couple of things...

#1 - the product description on Amazon.com states that NO bulb is included BUT the packaging that the light comes in states that it IS included...but no bulbs are in the packaging. Obviously not a deal breaker but interesting enough about the product / company. All said and done it is less than $20 and in all honesty a disposable lamp.

#2 - I understand it is a light and gives off heat...but I was surprised how hot the lamp itself got. This is used in my sons room...for kids bes sure to let them know not to make adjustments when the light has been on.

#3 - The clip is very strong and allows you to secure just about anywhere

For the price it was a good buy...

We use this for a reading light to clip on the bunk bed for our kids. The neck is a great length and the clip (the most important part) is very, very strong. It's not the cheapest but you get what you pay for so pay a little more and enjoy. The only caution is b/c the lamp shade is metal it can get a bit hot but just keep 60 watt or less bulb and you should be fine.

You are cold as steel on the outside, but warm on the inside; you're pretty bright too. To me this lamp has a retro-look, it looks kind of like modern objects looked in the 1950s and 1960s. This lamp has an on/off switch on the hanging cord, which is one of the reasons that I ordered it, (I'm not referring to the cord that is plugged into the electric outlet on the wall.) The cord is clear plastic, like most lamps these days, I like it. The model I chose is the one with the Satin Steel head, (it's white on the inside,) I prefer that to the all chrome, which is too flashy and reflective, yet the neck of the lamp is chrome. The lamp seems solidly built and has a big head, it also has a big clamp. Being that it's a bit top-heavy, I recommend that you not use a compact flourescent bulb, because those bulbs are the heaviest bulbs. I recommend this lamp, and I would buy it again without hesitation.

Excellent Lamp! VERY bright, the neck holds in place with absolutely no drooping, it stays still!! The on/off switch is conveniently located on the cord and is very easy to operate. The clamp is strong and holds in place exceptionally well. This lamp is a winner!!

The product is OK for the price, but not worth a penny more. One of the lamp that we ordered was not working. Fortunately, it was replaced promptly by the seller.
