I bought this lamp in December and by March it stopped working. I thought it was the light bulb, so I sent for a new one to Grandrich. The bulb, incidentally, cannot be found anywhere else, except at Grandrich, and it took about 3-4 weeks to get. Even after installing the new light bulb, the lamp did not work. Next, Grandrich sent me a new ballast. This is a part you need to install at the bottom of the lamp by reconnecting 7 pairs of wires after you remove the old ballast. The lamp worked - for two hours. Again I contacted Grandrich, located in Cerritos California about an hour's drive from my home. They suggested I take it in to get it fixed. I was not inclined to spend at least two hours in LA traffic and wait for the fix. What if the fix does not work? I requested a replacement lamp, well aware the new lamp may be just as bad as the "old" one. This they refused. I don't believe it's worth pursuing the matter any longer, so I am dumping the lamp. Any potential customers beware: the lamp and the bulb are made in China and you wont be able to get the bulb even in your better local lamp store. Grandrich appears to deal exclusively with Chinese products.

Worked for 2 days, then did not work. Found out that replacement bulb is discontinued and hard to find. Not happy!! Returned lamp.

Lamp easily adjusts to different positions for comfortable reading. It arrived very quickly and was easy to assemble. It's perfect for putting in a corner of a kid's room for a reading nook. It would also work well in a library or den for reading or crafts. Highly recommended.

Don't Waste Your Money
At first it seemed like a good deal. The light was great then the ballast failed. A new ballast costs nearly as much as the lamp. Penny wise & pound foolish. Read more

A bit disapointed
The lamp gives adequate light for my needs, but the lamp pole is not very sturdy. It seems to come loose occasionaly.

Bulb lasted 60 days
Junk, should have paid for the better brand. Bulb dead after 60 days.
The other reviews were correct in warning of impending dissapointment.

don't buy
