This is a nice looking lamp and worked fine but has a few issues.

1. The surface of the clips are padded, which is good. However, the rest of the clip is hard-edged metal and could scratch or mar the surface to which it is attached.

2. The cord travels through the flexible neck and into the lamp shade where it is knotted to prevent it from being pulled out. The problem I had was the knot took up so much space that is was tricky to get the bulb inserted because the knot was in the way. I had to be very careful not to break the bulb while trying to get it inserted.

3. This is the big one. The lamp doesn't use the normal screw-in bulb that you can get anywhere in the US. Instead it uses a two-pronged bulb that you insert and twist to lock into place. I've never seen the kind of bulb for sale in the normal place where you get light bulbs so I suspect it will be a special order. It is a CFL so I hope it lasts a long, long time.

I use this over my kitchen sink and it's nice and bright. The clip is sturdy and convenient. The power switch being midway down the cord makes it great for using up high where you can't easily reach.

I had this only a short time. It quit working less than a week after I got it. It had a weird cfl bulb--it doesn't screw in like regular bulbs, it shifts 1/4 turn into the socket. The lamp itself looks nice. The clip is large & sturdy. I returned mine & got something else.

You should not was your money with this product. I would give it no stars but you have to rate at least one. I purchased it and the fixture only worked about two dozen times. I went to lowes and purchased a replacement bulb, but that was not the problem. I called grandrich at noon and explained I wanted to return the product, which the warranty allowed. The guy from grandrich said he could only send me a replacement part and I would have to fix it myself. I asked for the guy's supervisor or manager and he told me he was at lunch until 2pm. I asked him to have the manager call me when he got back from his two hour lunch. I called back at three and guess where the manager was?? Still at lunch. I got the same story the next day, "He's at lunch." Buy this product if you want a headache and a paperweight.

The original bulb stopped working after 1 month, and because it's a specialty fitting it was tough to find a replacement. Then, at the one year mark, the cheap plastic shade liner fractured and fell out, rendering the electric elements free-floating and the lamp unusable. Save your money.

After about a month of use, something went wrong with the bulb and rather than bright white light, the bulb on this thing went dull pink. Something went wrong with it! Pretty disappointing. Given that the bulb is some weird custom thing, I'm just going to toss this thing and get an entirely new lamp.
