This product was very easy to put together and works well. I didn't give it 5 stars because of how flimsy the shade design is. It just sits on top without actually being attached. Other than that, I'm pleased.

It does what I need it to do. When it arrived the cord had a lot of white fibrous junk on it like cobwebs that I had to clean off. But contrary to the previous review there actually is a mechanism for retaining the shade. There is a wide thing that screws in around the perimeter of the bulb socket, and this needs to be removed before placing the shade, then screwed in to hold the shade in place before you screw in the lightbulb. So overall, for the price, it's not bad.

The price is right and the lamps work as described. I got two of them. Not super high-end but not too pricey either.
