Active ingredient in online description is Arsenic , product being shipped has Hydramethylnon as the active ingredient. Personal experience is arsenic based formula works and works fast(1-2 days), hydramethylnon does not work outside of attracting the ants.

This item DO NOT earn any stars, because it simply DO NOT WORK. There are ant bait stations in the package, I've tried three times, never worked. Ants just go around it. I threw the rest of away. DON'T waste your money!!!

I did not find Grant's Kills Ants to be the least bit effective in regards to our ant problem. I placed the stations around the perimeter of our home. Even after three weeks I noted no decline in the variety of ant populations. Thankfully, I had better success with Terro and Combat products.

There's a claim on the box that states, "Guaranteed to Work!" That's fine until you realize there is no follow up...such as "or your money back." I assumed such info. would be inside the package. I was wrong. To make the matter more frustrating the only contact information on the box is a partial address. As of this writing many of the links on the Grant's website are broken including any form of contact. Not even an email address. Great business model for 2011. $5.00 (purchased at a local hardware store) down the drain. Perhaps I would be better off contacting Amdro (they appear to own or make Grant's) but at this point I'm tired of chasing around a dollar.

I've been using Grant's Ants products for many years and have found them to be effective. I put them on window sills, especially in kitchen and bathrooms (i.e., where there's a convenient water supply for ants). They need to be replaced about every six months or so for optimum results.

Buy one from Home Depot. It does not work. The bail does not attract any ant.
