In my earlier years, I had no need to consider losing weight...in fact it was the very opposite but with middle age this has become increasingly necessary...as my clothes no longer fit well.
I have also not been prone to dieting, having seen around me, the many ills of doing so and the weight returning no sooner than the diet is finished. But on seeing this book, I reflected that while growing up, my mother would ensure for us a steady diet of fruits in the morning, and a half grapefruit before lunch and dinner. Additionally, she would take a glass of water with vinegar and honey every morning and every evening. So I decided to purchase and read. I now understand what what she was doing as she was very concerned about eating healthy then and so I determined I would try this diet. I lost 2lbs during the 1st week and so had the impetus to continue. I am now at the end of the 2nd week, and have lost another 2 lbs. In addition to ensuring absorption of the nutrients, it has certainly helped my metabolic rate and I will continue and adjust as necessary after I have lost the 10 lbs I need to lose.
